Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 8th January 2025 Written Update
The episode starts with Abhira crying. She hears a sound and rushes to Abhir. Abhir has fallen. She asks if he’s okay and how he fell. He asks if Armaan came, as he heard voices and tried to get off the bed to see. He asks if she was crying. She says no. He tells her that her marriage is facing a new problem, but that she gave him hope and value, and he knows she will fight for him when needed. Abhira assures him that she will always be with him, and that Armaan is supporting his mother, which is right for him, just as she must support Abhir.
Vidya says, “Ruhi, forgive me, I’m sorry.” Dadi asks how long she will keep apologizing, and tells her to come. Vidya says she can’t bring herself to apologize to Abhir. Armaan arrives and sees Vidya pleading.
Ruhi calls Abhira and informs her that Vidya wants to talk to Abhir. Abhira refuses, saying he’ll get upset. Ruhi says Abhira has declined. Vidya cries and asks why she can’t apologize. Dadi says Abhira’s anger and ego are stopping him from caring for Vidya. Vidya insists that Abhira does care for her. Armaan disagrees and says she won’t apologize now. He hugs Vidya.
Krish, Aryan, and Kiara are at a café, discussing Abhir and Vidya. The guys overhear and get angry. They start to argue. Kiara tells them if they’re true fans of Abhir, they should pray for him just like she does. Krish asks her to come with him. Armaan says he wants everyone to be ready for his mother’s hearing. Sanjay asks Ruhi to go to her room so she doesn’t reveal their plans to her maternal family. Ruhi says she doesn’t want to know anything. Sanjay suggests they say Vidya was with them at the time of the accident. Ruhi overhears this and leaves. Armaan insists they won’t lie. Abhira agrees, saying they won’t claim Vidya did this intentionally. Manish argues that Vidya wanted revenge on Abhir. Abhira disagrees, calling it a mistake and asking not to turn it into a hate crime. They vow to fight with honesty. Sanjay warns they won’t be able to save Vidya if they don’t lie. Vidya cries and hugs Dadi. Armaan reassures her, guaranteeing she won’t go to jail, but the penalty will be heavy. He leaves. Sanjay argues that they must lie to save her, explaining to Rohit, Manisha, Kajal, and Dadi that they should cover for Vidya.
Ruhi calls Abhira and says that everyone is planning to lie, claiming Vidya was with the family at the time. She asks if they can handle the lie or if they will have to do the same. Manish watches Abhira. Sanjay insists they lie to protect Vidya. Dadi says, but Armaan said… Vidya enters, and Sanjay asks if she’s alright. She slaps him and shouts to leave her alone, saying she doesn’t want to go to jail. She pleads for forgiveness from Abhir. Dadi, Manisha, and Kajal try to calm her down. Dadi assures her that no one will send her to jail and tells her to go rest. She apologizes on Vidya’s behalf. Sanjay tells her it’s okay, suggesting they bribe a driver to take the blame, so the case will be dismissed. He insists they must lie, as Armaan went against Vidya by supporting Abhira, and they can’t afford to risk everything. Dadi thinks deeply about this.
The next morning, everyone arrives at the court. Armaan and his family see Abhira and her family. Armaan holds Vidya’s hand. They all walk ahead, and Abhira and Armaan begin to argue. Abhira says she wants her good luck charm back, that she no longer needs it, and is now alone. She tells him to let it stay with her, before walking away in tears.
Abhir’s phone falls, and Charu picks it up for him. She says his organizers have taken all the cases back. Abhir smiles, saying something good happened, and now they won’t come after him. They pity him. Charu scolds him and offers to make something for him. He smiles, touched by her care.
Armaan watches Abhira. Sanjay tells them that Ashwin Rathod is handling the case, and Abhira is assisting him, so they are sure to win. The judge arrives and states that Abhir will appear in court on the final hearing day. Armaan requests that Vidya also be given this freedom. The judge refuses, stating that despite the serious allegations, they are not keeping Vidya in custody.
Manish takes the witness stand. Ashwin questions him about the accident and Vidya’s involvement. Manish testifies against Vidya. Everyone looks on in shock.
