Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 3rd September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Madhav telling Abhira that she will manage everything. She responds by saying she can’t handle it and is afraid of Vidya. He reassures her, saying that Vidya is her mother and advises her not to get caught up in competing as a daughter-in-law. Abhira goes to Vidya and hugs her, explaining that she and Armaan have chosen the Kalgi and Maang tika designs. She adds that she is trying to strike a balance and asks for Vidya’s help. Vidya, however, scolds her. Manisha intervenes, telling Vidya that Abhira is apologizing. Vidya retorts, asking why she needs to apologize and urges her to understand. Manisha suggests that Vidya speak with love. Vidya insists that she will explain the same to Kiara and Charu, and advises Abhira to take a few days off since it’s her wedding. Vidya reminds her that while the family is preparing for the wedding, it’s ultimately her responsibility. She then leaves. Manisha tells Abhira that she understands her but acknowledges that the system may not change entirely. Abhira asserts that she won’t compromise her work as it’s her mother’s dream for her to become a successful lawyer. Meanwhile, Dadi recalls Sanjay’s words.
The next morning, Ruhi wonders if Dadi will do anything and wishes for her to return to her original self. Vidya enters, asking if breakfast is ready. Ruhi informs her that Abhira has prepared Himachali food and urges everyone to hurry since Abhira has called the tailor for their measurements. Ruhi also mentions that Abhira is going to host the Nathh function.
As everyone admires the designs, Ruhi looks at them and recalls Akshu. The tailor asks if anyone is left to take measurements. Abhira points out that her mother, Vidya, still needs to provide her measurements. Madhav gives her a nod of approval. Ruhi becomes sad. Rohit notices and asks what’s troubling her. She reveals that it’s not about Abhira, but rather an old childhood wound that time and medicine have failed to heal.
Abhira invites everyone to enjoy the Himachali food and explains the various dishes. The family appreciates the meal. Abhira and Sanjay have a brief argument, after which she goes to fetch more food. She reflects on how she will earn money to ensure the family isn’t burdened, wondering why her loan hasn’t been approved. The tailor asks for an advance payment. She offers him 5000 rupees, but he says that’s only enough for one person. Just then, Armaan arrives and asks what’s wrong, offering to pay. Abhira dismisses the tailor and tells Armaan that she’s already taken a loan from him. Armaan insists that she shouldn’t hesitate to use the money as it’s hers too. Dadi, observing the interaction, comments that Armaan is willing to spend their money on Abhira. Meanwhile, Kiara and Charu discuss their shopping plans. Dadi approaches them and says they can go shopping after signing the contract papers. She advises them to think of it as a life plan, warning that bad times can come unexpectedly. She expresses her hope that they stay together, but if not, the contract outlines the rules. Dadi wants them to read it, considering themselves as individuals rather than just lovers. Armaan assures her that he and Abhira truly love each other. Dadi acknowledges this but points out that even true lovers face difficulties. She urges them to enjoy the good times but be prepared for challenges.
Abhira expresses her concern that they aren’t even married yet, and Dadi is already preparing for the possibility of their marriage breaking up. Dadi explains that with relationships ending so quickly nowadays, it’s important to be practical. She argues that there shouldn’t be any problem in signing the contract since wealthy families often have such agreements. Abhira and Armaan begin reading the conditions: the first one requires Abhira to take a break from work and focus on household duties. Armaan immediately notes that Abhira won’t agree to this, given her ambitions. Sanjay comments that Abhira is indeed ambitious and will likely progress well. Dadi responds that Abhira will soon realize how difficult it is to balance work and family. They move on to the next condition, which states that Abhira and Armaan must have their first child within a year. Dadi argues that once Abhira has a child, she will be preoccupied. Sanjay questions what they will do if Abhira believes she can handle both. Dadi insists that Armaan can’t abandon his career.
