Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 28th September 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Armaan saying, “We will leave the house. If she had asked for my life, I would have given it. She called me her son, so we will go.” Abhira responds, “This is your world.” He nods and says, “Yes, Vidya gave me this world. She accepted me. Now it’s my turn to give something back to her. I can’t step back.” Abhira pleads, “Maa, Armaan loves you. Please don’t do this.” But Armaan gently takes Abhira’s hand, and they prepare to leave. Everyone is emotional and begins to cry.
Abhira, distressed, says, “I want to talk to Vidya.” Armaan, now resigned, says, “We’re leaving the house, Abhira. I am your family now.” Abhira, still hopeful, says, “We can’t leave the family. I have the right to decide.” A water jug falls, interrupting the tense moment. Armaan replies, “We know Dadi agreed to this unwillingly. Vidya is upset, and we can’t stay in this house if she hates seeing my face. What right are you talking about?” He sits down, tears in his eyes. Abhira tries to comfort him, “We will convince Vidya.” Armaan shakes his head, “There are no rights left, only duties. I will live on if Vidya misses me as her son, but I can’t stay here.”
Dadi is furious. Sanjay approaches her, saying, “Everyone is sad in this house. Maybe it’s best if Armaan and Abhira leave. Remember, you said Vidya’s anger is sharper than a sword? You were right. I didn’t think she would use it so soon to push them out of the house.” Dadi, regretful, responds, “I didn’t want Armaan to leave.” Sanjay tries to reason with her, “What can we do? Vidya is broken. We should support her. Let Armaan and Abhira go. Abhira could never fully fit into our family. Armaan went against his mother for a girl. He won’t stay loyal to the family. Rohit is the son of this family, and Ruhi is the rightful bahu. We may feel sad if Armaan leaves, but peace will return.” Armaan and Abhira both cry as they pack their things.
Armaan, guilt-ridden, says, “I’m sorry, I’m not a good husband.” Abhira quickly interrupts, “Don’t say that.” He then asks her to start packing their belongings. Meanwhile, Rohit looks at an old family picture and begins to cry. Ruhi comes over and begs him to speak to Vidya, to convince her not to send Armaan and Abhira away. She asks, “Do you still doubt Armaan? They’re married now. Armaan only loves Abhira.” Rohit admits, “I have no doubt anymore. I know Armaan loves her.” She insists, “Then talk to Vidya.” Rohit, however, responds, “She won’t listen to me.” They hug each other in sorrow, realizing the family is fracturing.
Abhira, with tears in her eyes, approaches Vidya and says, “Armaan is leaving with me, but I’m leaving you his childhood memories.” Vidya can’t hold back her tears. Abhira continues, “I know you’re hurt, and you’ll cry when Armaan leaves. Your anger will eventually fade, and you’ll remember him. I’m taking this picture for him, so he has something to remember too.” Abhira drops the photo but quickly picks it up again. She then holds up a pair of bangles and reminds Vidya, “Do you remember these? You gave them to me and made me promise that I would never take Armaan away from you or the family. You broke that promise, but I won’t. I won’t return these bangles, and I won’t let Armaan get separated from you and the family.” With that, Abhira walks away.
Krish and the others sit in sadness. Ruhi joins them and says, “You all may be young, but you have a right to speak up. Armaan and Abhira are your brother and sister-in-law. Sadly, there’s nothing we can do for them.” Someone listens quietly from the shadows.
The next morning, Manish is flipping through old photos. He remarks, “Abhira and Ruhi are in the same Sasural. They’ll stay happy together.” Meanwhile, Armaan, ready to leave, says to Rohit, “You can call me if you ever need anything.” Rohit, emotional, responds, “Can’t I call you even without a reason?” They hug tightly. Rohit promises, “Mom will calm down eventually. I’ll talk to her and convince her to call you back.” Armaan just says, “Take care of her.” The whole family gathers around, and everyone takes turns hugging Armaan and Abhira. Madhav, emotional, holds onto Armaan and begs him to stay. Vidya comes forward, offering them curd and sugar for good luck. Armaan asks, “Where’s Dadi?” Sanjay answers, “She’s nowhere to be found.” Worried, Armaan asks, “Where did she go?”
Just then, the servants walk in, carrying white clothes. Pandit ji arrives and says, “I was called here to perform the Antim Kriya (final rites) for someone.” The entire family stands in shock.
