Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th September 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Armaan saying he doesn’t have the reports. Dadi asks him to come. Ruhi regrets telling him about the report and thinks she made a big mistake, fearing he might not marry Abhira. She sees Vidya nearby and thinks she should show the report to Vidya to stop the marriage. Meanwhile, Manisha approaches Abhira and says, “I know you went out, Abhira. Have some water. I will write Armaan’s name on your hand.” Armaan, lost in his thoughts, recalls Ruhi’s words and feels emotional. Sanjay notices and comments that something seems off with Armaan and Abhira. Dadi speculates that maybe something in the report has gone wrong.
Vidya suddenly stops Abhira and says, “Armaan’s name will never be written on your hand.” She then reveals the report to Abhira, who immediately begins to cry. Vidya explains that Abhira won’t be able to give Armaan the happiness of having a child. Everyone around them is shocked. Abhira, in a state of shock, begins to feel dizzy. Armaan rushes to hold her.
“I didn’t want anyone to see this report,” Armaan says with tears in his eyes. Vidya questions him, asking why he didn’t inform anyone. Armaan explains, “This is Abhira’s report. She has the right to know first. It’s a private matter between us, and I was waiting for the right time to tell her. How could you reveal this?” Vidya retorts, “You always dreamed of having your own child, but Abhira can’t make that dream come true.” Armaan responds, “I don’t know what to do.”
Dadi interrupts, saying, “Think carefully, Armaan. You consider Vidya your mother, and she treats you like a son, but it wasn’t easy for you both to get here. If you marry Abhira, you can adopt a child, but that child’s life will be difficult, like yours. Are you ready for that?” Armaan and Abhira both cry, grappling with the reality of their situation. Dadi continues, “If you marry this girl, you’ll never be able to hold, see, or meet your own child. Can you accept that?” Armaan, visibly torn, lets go of Abhira’s hand.
Manish, trying to reason, says, “Marriage isn’t just about having children. Armaan will get a life partner, and you’ll gain a wonderful daughter-in-law if he marries Abhira.” Sanjay dismissively says, “You’re being funny. She’s a burden, and now fate has made the decision. This girl isn’t worthy of having a family. Stop putting that responsibility on us.”
As tensions rise, Manish tries to slap Sanjay, but he stops him. “Calm down,” Sanjay warns. “You’ll get sick. But you can’t change the truth—Abhira will never be able to have a child.” Abhira, overwhelmed, collapses, and Manish quickly holds her, wiping her tears. He softly tells her, “Don’t cry. No one here values your tears. This house is full of stones. Life will always test us, and we have to decide where to go from here. You have to decide if you want to stay. If you do, you’ll only face more insults. Come with me.” He takes her away.
Vidya tries to stop Armaan, but he’s conflicted. In the car, Manish, Surekha, and Abhira drive away. Abhira, still deep in thought, recalls her moments with Armaan and starts crying again. Along the way, they encounter a woman begging for money, saying her baby is hungry. Abhira reaches out to help and gives her money, still crying over her own pain.
Back at home, Vidya confronts Armaan, explaining the importance of blood relations. “Rohit believes that our love is his right, but you see it as a favor. If you adopt a child, will you want them to carry that burden?” she asks. Rohit, stepping in, tells her to stop pressuring Armaan. “It’s his life, his marriage. The decision should be his.” He places a hand on Armaan’s shoulder and walks away with him.
