Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 16th December 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Ruhi recalling Abhira’s words. Rohit arrives and hugs Ruhi, telling her how he nearly lost Armaan because of a small injury. Ruhi cries as she speaks about Abhira saving Ruhaan that day, and how she will always regret that he was hurt because of her. Rohit tries to calm her down. Meanwhile, Manish and Abhir argue while exercising. Abhir expresses his frustration, saying he understands Ruhi’s struggles but has issues with her, especially since she badmouths his mumma. He says it makes him angry that Manish never explained things to Ruhi, and insists that his mumma would never harm anyone. He says he’s leaving. Abhira walks in and ties Abhir’s shoelace, recalling Abhi. She tells him he could have hurt himself. Manish asks where she’s going, and she replies that she’s heading to meet clients. Manish advises her to take time to manage everything, but Abhira says when there’s a storm in life, rest doesn’t come. She asks for his help and says she doesn’t want to repeat her past mistakes, that the pain she feels will never lessen. She cries.
Abhir tells her that she learned about Daksh during the puja, and how she thought he was her child, only to later return him to Ruhi. He says he brought Daksh to her so she could put him to sleep. Abhira promises she won’t cry again. A man arrives to deliver legal papers, which Abhira receives. She asks Manish about the papers, and he says they are his office papers.
Armaan mentions that he’s seen Abhira. Dadi and Vidya deny this, with Vidya advising Armaan to drink soup and rest. Dadi insists he take medicine and stay home. Armaan says he’ll be fine and wishes them luck before leaving. Manish talks to the lawyer on the phone. Swarna and Surekha receive the papers. Swarna asks if he’s trying to force Abhira and Armaan to divorce, to which Surekha suggests they should decide for themselves. Manish insists that this is the only way.
Abhir then expresses agreement with Manish, saying Abhira and Armaan should separate. Manish clarifies that he doesn’t want Abhira to go through what Akshu did. Abhira is on a call with a client when Armaan shows up and asks to speak with her. She tells him she lost one baby due to fate, and another because of him. The lawyer enters and taunts her for kidnapping Ruhi’s son, which Armaan quickly scolds him for. Abhira breaks down in tears. The family discusses the situation with Armaan and Abhira. Rohit brings in the legal papers, saying they’re from Manish’s lawyer. Sanjay reads them, smiling, and says Abhira sent these—she wants a divorce from Armaan.
Armaan tries to speak with Abhira, calling her while she sits in her car. He pleads with her, saying he loves her deeply. She replies that she can never forgive his mistakes again. Vidya then arrives, and Abhira stops the car to rush to her. Vidya asks if she intends to get a divorce, leaving both Abhira and Armaan shocked. Armaan is in tears as Vidya questions if Abhira sent the papers. Abhira recalls Manish’s words and leaves in a hurry.
At home, she meets Manish and asks about the papers. Manish and Abhir explain that Armaan broke her trust, and she can never trust him again. Dadi becomes furious with Abhira and argues with Armaan. Rohit suggests they should meet her, but Dadi says she doesn’t care about Armaan anymore. Sanjay remarks that Abhira is behaving like a stubborn child. Armaan says he will call her, but Dadi stops him. Madhav suggests that Armaan should handle his marriage himself. Armaan tries to call Abhira, but she doesn’t answer. Manish tells him that it’s not easy to forgive him, which is why Abhira didn’t take his call. He reminds Armaan of how he hid the truth about the baby and betrayed Abhira. Dadi insists that Armaan must decide what to do next.
