Yeh Hai Chahatein 28th August 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Arjun storming into Pradyuman’s house and attacking him. Kashvi rushes in, pleading with Arjun to stop. Arjun, still furious, tells Kashvi that she shouldn’t trust Pradyuman so easily and reveals that there’s a hidden basement in Pradyuman’s house. They head there together. Arjun asserts that there’s something ominous hidden in the secret room and dramatically pulls back a curtain, only to be left in shock.
Meanwhile, the boys at the dahi handi event mention how high the handi is hung. Karun, undeterred, thinks to himself that the height doesn’t matter and that he can do it. The men lift him, dancing in celebration. As Karun’s crown (mukut) falls off, Kashvi frantically searches for him, while Meera is also looking for Karun. Pradyuman calls Kashvi, offering to come and pick her up, but Kashvi tells him that Karun is missing and asks him to meet her at the market. Pradyuman, inwardly smug, thinks that Arjun has failed to take care of his son, leaving Kashvi worried.
Kashvi prays fervently for Karun and eventually finds his fallen crown. Arjun, arriving at the scene in his car, spots Kashvi and realizes Karun must be nearby. Back at the event, men who attempted to break the dahi handi fail and fall. One of them asks Karun if he thinks he can do it, as they haven’t managed to break it this year. Karun confidently replies that he can. The song “Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki” plays as the men cover Karun in color, and he begins climbing the human pyramid.
As Meera and Kashvi search for Karun, Meera narrowly avoids being hit by a bike rider, but Arjun heroically saves her. She hugs him, grateful, while Kashvi looks on. Suddenly, they hear people excitedly talking about a small boy who is climbing up to break the dahi handi. Shocked, they rush over and see Karun successfully breaking the handi. Overwhelmed with emotion, they applaud him, but just as Karun begins descending, he loses his balance and falls. Kashvi dashes forward and catches him just in time. Karun closes his eyes in fear, but when Kashvi kisses his forehead, he realizes he’s safe. Kashvi hands Karun over to Meera, and he opens his eyes to see her. The onlookers celebrate, declaring that little Gopala is fine. Karun, still in awe, says that when he fell and closed his eyes, he knew he was safe when Kashvi kissed his forehead.
Arjun and Meera then take Karun back to school, where they confront him about running away and climbing the dahi handi. Karun, still upset, asks if Meera really cares about him. Arjun reassures him, saying they both love him dearly. However, Karun, feeling insecure, accuses Meera of not loving him anymore because he forgot his lines and ran away. He fears that she’ll stop caring for him once she has her own child. He even tells Arjun that he’s afraid he’ll forget him too. Kashvi overhears this and feels a pang of sadness, thinking that things aren’t as simple as they seem.
Meera, trying to soothe Karun, explains that he’s her first and most important priority and that they planned to tell him about the baby after his play. She likens it to an exam where she needs his help, and says she trusts no one more than him. She reassures Karun that they will continue to love him the most and that he will be a big brother to the new baby. Karun, realizing his mistake, apologizes for misunderstanding her. Meera asks if they’re still a team, and Karun, now smiling, agrees.
Kashvi, standing nearby, reflects that Karun now has his Yashoda Maa in Meera and doesn’t need her anymore. She feels that Karun is happy without her and begins to walk away, only to bump into Pradyuman. Pradyuman, noticing her sadness, asks where Karun is and expresses relief that he’s safe. He suggests they go home together. As they leave, Kashvi wonders why some desires are left unfulfilled. Arjun, watching from a distance, silently agrees that some wishes are indeed meant to remain incomplete.
The next day, Arjun visits Vaishav Auto garage and confronts the owner for dealing in stolen vehicle parts. He notices a car with a snake symbol on it and instructs the owner to call the car’s owner. The truck driver, unaware of the trap, arrives to pick up the car. Arjun and the police arrest him, and Arjun demands to know why he caused the accident that injured his father. The truck driver, motivated by money, reveals that it was Pradyuman who hired him to carry out the hit.
Determined to get justice, Arjun storms into Pradyuman’s house and slaps him hard. Kashvi, shocked, demands to know why Arjun hit Pradyuman. Arjun accuses Pradyuman of causing his father’s accident, but Pradyuman denies it. Kashvi, confused and upset, insists that Pradyuman would never do such a thing. Arjun, however, remains firm, stating that Pradyuman is hiding something in his house, specifically in a secret room in the basement. Pradyuman tries to downplay the accusation, saying it’s just a storeroom, but Arjun is determined to uncover the truth and demands that Pradyuman show them the basement.
