Yeh Hai Chahatein

Yeh Hai Chahatein 27th August 2024 Written Update

The episode starts with Karun stepping down from the stage. He heads outside and declares that he will break the dahi handi. Kashvi, Arjun, and Meera arrive and are shocked to see Karun climbing on the men’s shoulders to break the dahi handi.

A few hours earlier,

Arjun tells Kashvi to stop. Nitya gets up, and Kashvi is surprised to see Arjun, asking, “Arjun, you’re here?” Arjun explains, “I knew you came here, and I knew you were talking to Micky. So, I called him, and he told me everything.” A flashback is shown where Arjun calls Micky, asking if everything is fine. Micky reveals everything, including how Nitya aunty threatened to have them all arrested. The flashback ends. Arjun confronts Nitya, saying, “Your husband is in the hospital in serious condition, and yet you’re playing dirty games here. What kind of satisfaction do you get from this?” Nitya defends herself, saying, “Romila slapped me.” Arjun responds, “You should handle things maturely, not by getting Kashvi to clean your sandal.” He points out that Kashvi helped him save their dad and insists that Nitya go and withdraw the police complaint. Nitya reluctantly agrees and leaves. Arjun then apologizes to Dadi and Kashvi, but Dadi reassures him, “There’s no need to apologize; this isn’t your fault.” Nitya returns and informs them that she has withdrawn the complaint and that they can leave now. Arjun, however, demands that she apologize to Romila, Dadi, Kashvi, and the entire family. Nitya, though reluctant, says sorry. Dadi advises them to head to the hospital now. Nitya and Arjun then leave for the hospital. Upon arrival, the doctor informs them that Mr. Jagdish is doing fine. Nitya and Arjun visit Jagdish and ask how he’s doing. Jagdish assures them that he’s okay now. Arjun inquires about the accident, and Jagdish explains, “I was walking along the road when a truck driver deliberately hit me. I have no ongoing projects, and I’m not involved with any criminals. Who would want to harm me?” Arjun, suspicious, remarks, “Someone must be behind this.” Just then, he receives a call from Meera and answers, asking how she and Karun are doing. Meera replies, “We’re both fine, and Karun is sleeping. I haven’t told him about uncle’s accident. Are you coming home?” Arjun reassures her, saying, “Dad is fine. I’ll be home soon.”

Later, at home, Arjun shares with Meera about the secret stairs leading to a hidden room in Pradyuman’s house, mentioning his concern for Kashvi after the doctor told them about Neelam’s death. Meera suggests, “Let’s get some rest now. We have to attend Karun’s annual day function tomorrow.”

The next day, at the annual function, Meera spots Kashvi and waves at her. Kashvi acknowledges her. The teacher announces that the Janmashtami play will depict the birth of Lord Krishna, with Karun Bajwa playing the lead role. She mentions how Krishna was blessed to have two mothers—one who gave birth to him and the other who nurtured him with values. Kashvi reflects that Meera is like Yashoda to Karun, as she loves and cares for him deeply. Meanwhile, Meera thinks that no one can replace Devki, and that Kashvi will always be Karun’s first mother. Meera steps outside to call Arjun but starts feeling dizzy. Some women notice her and take her to the principal’s office. Karun’s friend sees this and decides to inform Karun.

Arjun expresses his gratitude to someone for arranging the CCTV footage. He reviews the footage and realizes that the truck driver intentionally hit Jagdish. Arjun asks the police officer to trace the truck’s registration. The officer reports that the truck had a fake number plate. Arjun asks him to replay the footage and notices a snake painting on the number plate.

Meanwhile, the principal checks on Meera, who explains that she’s fine and that the dizziness is due to her pregnancy—she’s in her third month. Karun overhears this conversation. The principal congratulates her, saying that Karun will soon have a sibling, and notes that she’ll be busier after the baby is born. Meera, taken aback, replies, “No.” Karun, having heard everything, becomes upset. His friend manipulates him, saying, “Your new mom is going to have her own child, and you’ll be just a step-son now. You won’t get the same love, attention, or care. Everything will be for your sibling.” This plants seeds of anger and insecurity in Karun.

The announcement is made for Karun’s performance. He steps onto the stage, and both Kashvi and Meera applaud him happily. However, Karun is distracted, recalling Meera’s pregnancy. Meera wonders why Karun isn’t saying anything. The audience starts murmuring that it seems the boy has forgotten his lines. Overwhelmed, Karun suddenly runs off the stage and heads outside. Meera and Kashvi rush after him. The security guard stops Karun, asking where he’s going and telling him to return to the stage. Karun insists, “The play is over. I’m going to my dad.” He pushes the guard aside and runs off. The security guard recovers and sits back in his chair. Kashvi and Meera arrive and ask about Karun. The guard informs them that Karun pushed him and ran out. Kashvi and Meera decide to search in different directions. Just then, Arjun arrives and calls out to them, but they don’t hear him. Arjun enters the school and asks the guard, who tells him that Karun has run out. Arjun is shocked.

Karun, feeling neglected, overhears some men discussing breaking the dahi handi. They mention needing a brave boy to break it and talk about the big prize money involved. Karun steps forward and says, “I can break the dahi handi.” One of the men asks, “Are you sure?” Karun confidently replies, “Yes.”
