Yeh Hai Chahatein 26th August 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with Arjun calling Nitya and asking her to stay calm about what he’s going to share. He informs her that Dad has met with an accident. Nitya, concerned, asks what happened to Jagdish ji. Arjun explains that Jagdish is currently undergoing surgery and asks her not to inform Meera and Karun just yet. He also mentions that he’s heading to Delhi to get a special medicine for their father. Nitya, feeling restless, decides she can’t just sit at home and needs to go. She rushes out of the house and onto the road. At the same time, Romila and Nitya flag down the same taxi. Nitya tells Romila that she has an urgent matter to attend to. Romila insists that she should go first since she flagged down the taxi. A heated argument ensues, drawing the attention of bystanders. In the scuffle, Romila stamps on Nitya’s foot and tries to get into the taxi, but Nitya grabs her and pushes her onto the road. Nitya then insults Romila, calling her a “naagin.” Romila, enraged, slaps Nitya, which only fuels Nitya’s anger.

Meanwhile, Arjun and Kashvi are on their way back to the hospital when the nurse calls to inform them that a clot is forming and urges them to hurry. Arjun, panicking, asks the driver to speed up. Unfortunately, the ambulance suddenly stops, and the driver advises them to find another vehicle as he suspects the ambulance won’t start again. Arjun becomes increasingly anxious, but Kashvi suggests they get a cab. They quickly get out of the ambulance.

Back at the scene, Nitya notices the police and pretends to be scared, accusing Romila of harassing her and claiming that she feels threatened, even suggesting that Romila wants to kill her. She turns to the bystanders for support, and they confirm that Romila did slap her. Romila tries to explain that Nitya was at fault as well, but Nitya insists on filing an assault case. The police arrest Romila and take her away, while Nitya smirks triumphantly.

Arjun, still worried, wonders what they’ll do since they can’t find a lift. Just then, Kashvi manages to stop a car and convinces the driver to give them a ride by saying she’s pregnant and needs to get to the hospital. The lady in the car agrees, and they get in.

At home, Dadi confronts the inspector, demanding to know why Romila was arrested. The inspector explains that Romila had slapped someone. Nitya arrives and admits that she was the one who filed the complaint. She provocatively suggests that the inspector arrest a few more family members while he’s at it. Dadi defends Romila, insisting she would never do such a thing. Meanwhile, Micky, Kashvi, and Arjun arrive at the hospital, and the nurse commends them for bringing the medicine just in time. Micky then calls Kashvi and informs her about Nitya filing the case against Romila. Kashvi, realizing that Arjun is already under a lot of stress, decides not to tell him and instead lies, saying she needs to return to Faridabad for some office work. As she leaves, Arjun senses something is off and wonders why she lied, knowing she had just spoken to Micky.

Back at home, Dadi pleads with Nitya to drop the charges against Romila, but Nitya refuses. She spitefully remarks that she wanted Romila to stay in jail for at least a week, but if Dadi insists, she should clean her branded sandal. Keval and Micky urge Dadi not to do it, insisting they’ll hire a lawyer to secure Romila’s bail. Dadi, however, acknowledges Nitya’s influence and feels she has no other choice. Nitya hands her wet wipes, and Dadi reluctantly kneels to clean Nitya’s sandal. Just then, Kashvi arrives and stops Dadi. Nitya, irritated, thinks to herself that Kashvi has come to spoil her fun. Kashvi challenges Nitya, asking if it makes her feel good to torment Dadi. Nitya coldly suggests that if Kashvi wants Romila released, she should clean the sandal herself. Kashvi, ready to comply, is about to wipe the sandal with wet wipes when Nitya taunts her to use her pallu instead. Just as Kashvi is about to do so, Arjun arrives and stops her.
