Udne Ki Aasha 17th December 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Renu, Roshni, and Riya cutting vegetables and grinding spices. The maid compliments Roshni’s skills. Renu comments that she is working as though she does it every day. Roshni responds that Malti just showed her and she learned it quickly. Renu asks Riya to try cutting the onions. Riya accidentally cuts her finger and starts crying. Aaji and Sayali arrive. Aaji asks what happened, and Sayali explains that Riya cut her finger. Sayali reassures her that it’s fine and she will be okay. Roshni mentions that it’s a small cut. Sayali tends to Riya’s injury. Aaji comments that it’s natural to get hurt while learning in life. Riya asks to be taken to the hospital, but Aaji tells her to wait. She advises her to apply haldi and it will heal, as it happens to every woman. Malti brings haldi, and Sayali tells Riya to apply it. Aaji holds Riya’s hand, and Malti applies the haldi. Riya insists on seeing a doctor, but Aaji assures her that she will be fine and tells her to rest. She asks Renu and Roshni to finish the work, while Sayali offers to help Renu. Aaji tells Sayali to come with her instead. They leave.
Sachin and Sayali have a conversation. Sachin praises Sayali’s family. Roshni tries calling Sultan. Renu lights the stove and explains the cooking process to Riya. Riya sees the smoke and suggests calling the fire brigade. Renu reassures her that it’s fine. Aaji tells Sayali not to feel sorry for Renu and asks her to sit back. Sayali says Renu is worried. Aaji assures her to just observe her actions.
Riya accidentally pours the entire jar of mustard seeds into the hot oil, causing Renu and Roshni to worry. Renu tells Riya to listen carefully and follow her instructions. Aaji watches them with amusement. Riya asks what to do now, and Renu tells her that she has already helped enough, and she can go and eat a carrot. Roshni asks if she should make dal chawal, and Renu agrees. Aaji tells Sayali that now they will understand how tough it is to cook and just eat the food. She plans to teach them a lesson.
The family gathers to eat. Riya expresses pride in Akash’s cooking skills. Renu stops Sayali from serving the food and accuses her of stealing the credit. She taunts Sayali’s family and asks her to leave. Paresh questions Renu’s behavior. Sachin comments that Sayali’s family doesn’t get enough recognition for cooking, and now Roshni and Riya should receive a national award for their culinary skills. Aaji points out that Renu has wronged Sayali, and that’s why she asked Sayali to sit and eat first. Sayali agrees to eat later, but Sachin insists she eat with everyone. Paresh asks Renu to serve the food.
Renu serves the food with an attitude, particularly toward Sayali. Tejas praises Roshni for her hard work. Riya claims to have cut the veggies. Akash jokingly comments on her cutting skills, asking if she really cut it like that. Sachin enjoys the food and compliments it. Riya insists it tastes great. Sachin praises the aloo dish and asks who made it, noting that Renu couldn’t have prepared it. Aaji proudly states that Sayali made it. Sayali says that Aaji had put the tadka. Sachin praises the dish, knowing it was the best. Aaji questions Renu if she served Sayali properly. Sachin offers papad to Sayali.
He requests Renu to pass the rice. Paresh asks Renu to serve it. Renu passes the rice bowl and tells Riya to eat. Riya hesitates, asking if she can use a spoon due to her cut. Akash encourages her to eat with her hand, and Renu offers to feed her.
Sachin remarks that gold makes people act this way. Aaji says that Riya’s wound will heal faster if she eats with her hand. Renu claims the spices might hurt Riya’s finger and proceeds to feed her. Sayali looks on sadly. Aaji stops Renu, and Sachin jokes that Riya’s mother must have a lot of gold. He starts singing Sabse Bada Rupaiyya. Renu calls it nonsense and asks Paresh to stop him. Aaji tells Sachin to stop and asks Sayali to sit next to Riya. Sayali moves beside Riya. Aaji tells Renu that it’s wrong to feed only one daughter-in-law and that all three must be fed. Sachin praises Aaji for her fairness.
