Udne Ki Aasha 14th November 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with Renu asking Mamta to give whatever she wants to Riya. Mamta hands over the shagun to Riya and Akash. Renu takes it from them and asks them to seek Mamta’s blessings. Mamta blesses them. Paresh comments that it looks like dowry, not a gesture of love for the daughter. Mamta clarifies that every parent makes jewellery for their daughter, and your eldest daughter-in-law Roshni probably got a lot of jewellery since she’s from Dubai. Renu adds that they had a simple wedding for Roshni, and though her father couldn’t attend as he’s very rich, he’ll soon come to meet them and give 250 tola of gold. Roshni grows anxious. Mamta asks about Sayali.

Renu responds that they didn’t get anything from Sayali’s family. They bought jewellery for her and brought her into the house. Things would have been different if Paresh had retired a day earlier, but Sayali’s father tragically jumped in front of the train on Paresh’s retirement day, and that’s how Sayali came into the family. Paresh is shocked and asks if Renu is speaking nonsense. Renu insists that everyone knows the truth—that Sayali’s family never gave her any earrings and just runs a flower stall, surviving on flowers and rotten fruits. Sayali is in tears as Renu continues insulting her. Paresh says enough, but Renu claims she’s just speaking the truth. She leaves, continuing to belittle Sayali’s family. She implies that Paresh only took Sayali in out of guilt for her father’s death. Sayali, unable to bear it, goes to her room and shuts the door, crying.

Later, Renu finds Sayali in the temple and scolds her for not doing any work. Sayali asks what she should do, and Renu berates her further. Sayali snaps back, asking if she’s just supposed to do work and take insults in silence. Renu demands an explanation, but Sayali retorts, asking what Renu’s problem is, as she always feels the need to taunt her. Riya asks why Renu is yelling at Sayali. Renu tries to downplay it, telling Sayali to go make food. Sayali agrees sarcastically, saying she has to do everything while taking insults. Renu is furious and accuses Sayali of disrespect. Sayali tells her to stop insulting her, stating that she’s tired of hearing her taunt her family. Roshni and Tejas arrive, and Roshni asks Sayali how she can speak to Renu like that. Sayali tells her to mind her own business. Paresh enters and asks what happened. Sayali explains how Renu dragged her father into the discussion, and how she can’t stay quiet when her father is insulted. She says she’s being disrespected simply because of her poor background.

Renu accuses Sayali of putting on an act. She tells Paresh that Sayali is acting out of attitude. Paresh asks what she expects Sayali to do. Renu says she just spoke the truth when Mamta asked about what Sayali had received, and she answered honestly. Paresh tells Renu that she used wrong words. Akash agrees and says that he also feels bad. Riya adds that Renu’s words were harsh. Renu insists that she only told the truth. Sayali asks what truth, and Renu goes on to claim that Paresh took pity on her, which is why she’s here.

Sayali, standing her ground, asks Renu to explain the whole truth, including her engagement and everything that happened. She says she won’t stay silent if anyone insults her father. Renu mocks her, asking what she will do about it. Paresh tells her to calm down. Everyone, including Akash, supports Sayali and condemns Renu’s actions. Renu challenges them to prove her wrong, claiming that Sayali has received no gold and that the jewellery they bought for her was given only out of guilt. Sayali tells her that she’s not interested in jewellery. She leaves and locks herself in her room. Renu wonders aloud what’s going on as Sayali runs away, refusing to answer her.

Paresh confronts Renu, asking what’s going on. Renu complains that Sayali is jealous because she loves Riya and Roshni. Paresh reminds her that he asked her to treat all three daughters-in-law equally. Renu argues back that Sayali thinks she’s a queen and accuses her of running away to provoke her husband.

Sayali comes back and hands over the jewellery. She says it’s your problem, not mine. I don’t want anything. Sachin enters and watches the scene. He asks Sayali what happened. Paresh urges her to take the jewellery, but Sayali refuses. She explains that she’s always insulted for not bringing jewellery, and recounts what Renu said in front of Mamta. She tells Paresh that she doesn’t want any jewellery from them. Sachin asks Paresh why Renu can’t change, and Paresh admits that Renu isn’t ready to. He tells Sayali not to feel bad about Renu’s words and asks her to keep the jewellery because it was given to her with love. Sayali insists that Renu will insult her again if she accepts it.

Renu sarcastically questions what drama is going on, asking where the mangalsutra is. Sayali, anticipating this, says she knows Renu will say the same thing, but she doesn’t want the jewellery, even the mangalsutra. She hands it back to them. Sachin is left stunned.
