The episode begins with Teerth telling Suman that they must marry for Rishi’s sake. Suman responds, “Neta ji, I can’t marry you. There’s a girl waiting for you in bridal wear at the mandap, and I can’t break her heart while being with you.” Teerth insists that they are not having a relationship. The doctor informs them that the patient’s condition is deteriorating and administers an injection. Teerth tells Suman that Rishi’s situation is getting worse, and they are out of options. Suman urges him to go home and fulfill his commitment to the girl waiting for him, saying, “Put the mangalsutra around her neck. This marriage with me is wrong.” Teerth counters that if something happens to Rishi, it will be even more wrong. A reporter claims that Teerth is making a significant sacrifice. Teerth reminds Suman of the time she fought for Rishi’s safety when he confronted the Minister, and now Rishi is on the brink of death. He emphasizes that by marrying him, she can give Rishi hope. He presses that if she doesn’t take this chance and something happens to Rishi, she might never forgive herself. Akhil thinks Teerth has lost his mind and wonders how to help Devika, who must be furious.
Kritika expresses confidence that Teerth will come. The pandit asks if he should find another auspicious time since the havan kund is extinguishing. Devika warns that if the havan fire goes out, she will burn the entire house down, insisting that Teerth must come because her sister won’t get up without their marriage. Gitanjali mentions that he isn’t answering calls. Chandrakant laments that their Lakshmi-like bahu has become a Durga due to Teerth’s actions.
Bhumi contemplates revealing the truth to Suman but is blackmailed by Gulshan, who threatens that people will label her a murderer, and Suman will blame her. Bhumi enters, and Gulshan recalls altering the liquid, scheming to keep Bhumi silent.
Suman asserts that this marriage cannot occur, stating that it’s a serious commitment, not a joke, as it’s a promise that transcends any circumstance. Teerth agrees, mentioning that he was willing to marry Kritika despite not having Gajendra Gupta’s approval. He admits it was a compromise, but their marriage will be different, as it will be for Rishi. The doctor notes that Rishi’s condition is worsening. Teerth declares his readiness to sacrifice for Rishi, even if they don’t love each other, and asks if Suman is prepared to make a sacrifice for Rishi. Remembering Rishi’s and the doctor’s words, Suman says she is ready for the marriage. Teerth echoes her sentiment. She emphasizes that this is just for Rishi. Teerth agrees, but Suman adds that respect in a relationship is more important than love, asserting that without respect, a relationship is lifeless. She acknowledges their differences but expresses her growing respect and trust for Teerth because of what he is doing for Rishi. Akhil interrupts, questioning Teerth’s intentions, but Teerth tells him to be quiet and not speak against Suman. The reporter announces that Teerth Mittal is marrying Sarafa Chaat wali, calling it big news. Gulshan stands in shock.
Teerth takes Suman’s hand and leads her to the hospital temple, explaining that he is following his heart and asking God for guidance. He breaks some wooden furniture in a moment of desperation. The doctor protests, but Teerth insists on fulfilling Rishi’s wish. A nurse notes that Rishi’s condition seems to be improving. Teerth removes the chunari covering the God’s photo and places it over Suman’s head. Akhil thinks he has lost his senses. Malini drapes her dupatta over Teerth’s shoulder, saying that what is not destined for her will be Suman’s, and thanks Teerth. Bhumi ties the ghatbandhan. Poorvi mentions that Akhil Bhaiyya is on the phone and said something that makes Devika shout in shock. She instructs someone to turn on the TV, where they see Teerth and Suman taking their wedding rounds, leaving them stunned. Teerth swears to Suman that he will honor and protect her, making her his responsibility from that day forward. He takes the second vow, stating that her family is now his, insisting that while this marriage is due to Rishi, it will extend beyond that. He pledges to be honest with her, always keep her trust, and share in her joys and sorrows. He promises to support her unconditionally and to trust her above all else. As he prepares for the seventh and final vow, Suman tells him to stop. Kritika is in tears, and Devika looks on, furious.
