Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak 20th September 2024
Koyal manages to break open the door, and the entire family is left in shock, wondering where Sagar could have gone. Koyal, devastated, says Sagar left, turning to her mother for answers on how he could do such a thing. Mauri accuses Vedika of being behind it all, but Koyal insists Sagar had promised to marry her. Saraswathi consoles Koyal and leads her out of the room.
Meanwhile, Sagar is sitting on a couch when Vedika arrives with a worker. She asks Sagar for a pen, to which he sarcastically replies that he was going to the mandap, so he didn’t think to bring one. The worker provides the pen, and Sagar teases him about not being invited to the wedding. Vedika informs Sagar that she sent him the clauses of their contract in the car. Sagar acknowledges it, noting that he’s aware it’s a contract marriage and knows how to read the terms.
Vedika clarifies that the contract outlines what they must do until it ends. She bluntly adds that she holds no feelings for him. Sagar responds that he feels disgusted by her, to which Vedika says she harbors even more anger and hatred for him. Despite their harsh words, they agree to respect each other until the contract expires.
They bicker over trivial matters like bathroom usage and room lighting. Vedika eventually hands over the contract, and Sagar jokingly asks for the ten rupees from their symbolic transaction before signing it. Vedika, just as determined, hands over the money and signs. She then pulls out another file, revealing it to be divorce papers. Sagar is taken aback, but Vedika explains that she doesn’t want him to force her to stay once the contract is over.
Sagar reluctantly signs the divorce papers, understanding that this is the only way to save Vedika’s mother from the ordeal. They exchange cold stares as they hand the files to the worker. Sagar remarks that it was once his dream to sign papers with her—but not divorce papers. Vedika agrees, sharing the same regret. The worker awkwardly congratulates them, but Vedika corrects him, saying congratulations are premature until the divorce is finalized. They shake hands, masking their true emotions.
Vedika gets a call from Inspector Khan and thanks him before ending the call. Sagar, curious, asks about the conversation, but Vedika reassures him that everything is progressing quickly and they’ll soon be free of the contract. She invites him to leave first, calling him “Mr. Maheshwari,” and they head back together.
At the house, Saraswathi is fuming while Koyal is emotional. The pandit asks if the wedding is still happening, and Koyal insists it is. Rageshwari, speaking to the commissioner, demands an explanation for the chaos at the wedding. Degvijay questions the situation but receives no answers. Koyal, disillusioned, cries that Sagar deceived her. As she lashes out, she accidentally knocks over the ceremonial *kalash* (vase) at the door.
Suddenly, Lali announces that Sagar has returned. Everyone is stunned as they see Sagar standing at the door, holding Vedika’s hand. Koyal walks up to him, shocked, as the rest of the family watches in disbelief. Suphedra notices the intimacy between Sagar and Vedika. Degvijay and Rageshwari are furious. Saraswathi demands to know if Sagar married Vedika, and Sagar, though hesitant, confirms it.
Degvijay angrily asks what Sagar has done. Vedika interrupts, stating that anyone can see from their *mangalsutra* and garlands that they’re married. She sarcastically apologizes for making things too formal but asserts that she and Sagar are now connected by law.
Rageshwari, incredulous, questions why Sagar married Vedika when he was already set to marry Koyal. Suphedra adds that Sagar had initially agreed to marry her willingly. Degvijay backs her up. Vedika, however, declares that Sagar changed his mind after learning the truth. Koyal, frustrated, demands to know what truth. Vedika explains that she was the one who took Sagar from the mandap, and upon learning the truth, he decided to give their relationship another chance. Sagar admits that despite everything, he still loves Vedika.
Koyal, infuriated, argues that Sagar had previously called Vedika a fraud, and now he’s changing his tune. She demands that he throw Vedika out of the house. Saraswathi supports Koyal, insisting there’s no place for Vedika in their home. Rageshwari orders Sagar to let go of Vedika’s hand and throw her out, saying they cannot accept this marriage. Degvijay agrees, stating that no one in the family will accept Vedika.
Vedika calmly replies, asking the family not to raise their voices. She asserts that she and Sagar are legally married, and if they refuse to acknowledge the marriage, she will involve the police. As a lawyer, she reminds them that she can file a case against them for mental cruelty under the Hindu Marriage Act. Sagar confirms that Vedika is right.
Saraswathi, infuriated, claims that Vedika has no shame. Vedika gives the family an ultimatum: either accept her as their daughter-in-law or risk Sagar going to jail. She asks the family to decide if they will throw her out or accept the marriage. When no one responds, Vedika concludes that they have silently agreed to accept her.
She then asks who will prepare for her *Greh Pravesh* (house entry ceremony), but Rageshwari coldly replies that a woman like Vedika will not be granted the honor of performing such a ceremony in their household.
