Parineeti 2nd September 2024 Written Update
Neeti insists, “You have to come to the wedding. You called Babli your sister, so you should be there for her on her big day.”
Sanju is getting ready, but he notices that one of his shirt buttons is broken. He looks around for a new shirt but then decides, “I should just stitch the button.” He remembers how Pari taught him to sew and thinks about calling her, only to realize she’s not there anymore. Pami notices and offers, “Let me help you.” She stitches the button for him, and Sanju leaves for work.
Neeti continues, “Babli’s entire family feels connected to you. Gurpreet says, ‘It would mean a lot if you could come. Pari’s absence will be deeply felt.’ Neeti adds, ‘You’re like a mother to her; she won’t say no to you.’ Gurpreet agrees, ‘Yes, please do come.’ Neeti is insistent, ‘She will definitely come. You won’t feel anyone’s absence at Babli’s wedding.’ Vikram chimes in, ‘Yes, please do come. It would make us feel like Pari is still with us. Babli sees you as her sister.’
Pari, lost in thought, wonders, ‘How can I stop this wedding?’ Neeti thanks her for accepting the invitation and asks Gurpreet to give the wedding card to Pari personally. Vikram and Pari hand her the card. When Pari sees the wedding date, she’s shocked. ‘It’s tomorrow?’ she exclaims. Neeti confirms, ‘Yes, it’s tomorrow. It’s a good day. Babli will be happy with Daljit.’ They leave, and Pari turns to Dai Maa, worried, ‘How can I stop this now?’ Dai Maa replies, ‘I feel so bad for Babli.’ Pari declares, ‘I won’t let anything bad happen to Babli.’
As Pari steps out, Gurpreet asks, ‘She wants to talk to you.’ Pari, frustrated, says, ‘You’re doing all this to force me to admit that I’m Pari. But you’re mistaken. I won’t admit it. I’m just concerned about Babli.’ Neeti challenges her, ‘Babli is just one of your workers; why are you so worried about her? She’s not your sister. Or is she? Pari was my best friend, like a sister, but she never truly was. She always pretended. I regret ever befriending her. She was deceitful and took my husband from me. She played such a dirty game. I’m still stuck in the same place because of her.’
Pari responds, ‘Maybe she made a mistake. What if you also wronged her?’ Neeti retorts, ‘I have never seen someone as deceitful. She always acted innocent, but she backstabbed me. I always supported her, and she betrayed me. That’s when I decided to take my revenge, after she destroyed everything. I knew you’d want to talk to me, so now you understand why I’m doing all this—to get revenge for all the injustice Pari did to me.’
The decorators arrive at the house. Sanju sees the wedding card and is shocked. He immediately tells the workers to leave. Meanwhile, Pari continues, ‘What if you wronged Pari?’ Neeti, dismissive, says, ‘How do you know who was right or wrong?’ Pari clarifies, ‘I don’t know. I’m just asking.’ Neeti insists, ‘I know my story. I was wronged, and I’m taking my revenge. I don’t care if I have to use Babli. Pari presses, ‘How low can you go? Babli hasn’t harmed you. What did she do wrong? Daljit will ruin her life.’ Neeti, with a dark satisfaction, thinks, ‘I’ll be so happy when Babli’s life is destroyed. Pari will feel the same pain I felt. Daljit is a terrible man. When Babli suffers, Pari will suffer too. She’ll finally understand what she did to me. Babli will pay for Pari’s mistakes. We all have our own stories.’
