Mera Balam Thanedaar 2nd September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Veer telling Bulbul that he will tolerate her tantrums for the rest of his life because he knows she will never break his heart, betray him, and will fulfill their relationship with the same intensity as he does. Bulbul makes an emotional expression. Veer continues, saying she should say those three magical words. Bulbul, meanwhile, speaks to Dr. Jain, instructing him to stay outside until she calls him and asks if he is nervous. Dr. Jain replies that he is excited and wants to do this for his son and Vani. He acknowledges his past mistakes and says he is willing to do anything to make amends. He thanks Bulbul, who says she is doing this for her sister, Vani, and is very happy about it. Just then, Veer arrives, and Bulbul quickly ends the call. Veer asks who she was talking to. Bulbul responds that it was a personal call. Veer insists that all her personal matters should involve him. Bulbul then asks if he would forgive her if she made a mistake.
Meanwhile, Sulakshana tells the guests that Veer and Bulbul will perform the jhula rasam (swing ritual) since Shikha is no longer alive. Varnika approaches Veer and calls him downstairs. Vardhan questions why the matki (clay pot) is placed there. Bulbul announces that they will break the matki. Vardhan suggests that Vyom should break it. Varnika counters, saying there should be a competition between Veer and Bulbul. Both Veer and Bulbul agree, eager to prove themselves. Veer asks Bulbul if she really thinks she can break it before him. Bulbul confidently asks if he thinks she will lose. Vardhan declares the start of the challenge.
Elsewhere, Vishesh is seen in the car with his new wife. Back at the ceremony, Veer tells Bulbul that he will strike the matki with such force that it will shatter instantly. Varnika points out that Veer has undergone IPS training. Bulbul playfully responds that she has undergone “wife training.” The crowd cheers for both Veer and Bulbul. As Veer is about to break the matki, Bulbul distracts him by blowing a flying kiss, leaving Veer momentarily stunned like a statue. Seizing the opportunity, Bulbul breaks the pot and jumps onto a table, falling into Veer’s arms, causing them both to fall to the ground. Everyone looks on in surprise, while Vyom gazes at her in disbelief. Varnika quickly covers Vyom’s eyes. Veer and Bulbul share a moment as they get up.
Bulbul then begins to dance and eventually takes Veer’s hand, leading him into a dance. The crowd applauds their performance. At this moment, Dr. Jain arrives and decides to wait in the lawn. He sees a car approaching and hides. Vishesh steps out of the car, helping his wife out. Vani is seen singing a bhajan (devotional song). Vishesh and his wife make their way inside. Vishesh joins his family, and his new wife suddenly starts dancing, surprising everyone. She eventually falls to the ground and touches Sulakshana’s feet. When Sulakshana sees the reflection of the woman’s face in the water, she is shocked and steps back. The woman’s bridal veil falls, revealing her face to everyone. It is Dhristi. Everyone is taken aback, wondering how she has returned. Vani orders Dhristi to leave, but Bulbul scolds Dhristi, questioning why she came back only to face more humiliation. Bulbul adds that Dhristi should feel ashamed of herself.
Dhristi, however, boldly asserts her position, stating that as the eldest daughter-in-law (Jethani), she deserves respect, and Bulbul is now her Dewrani (younger sister-in-law). Bulbul, confused, asks what she means. Sulakshana demands Vishesh to explain why Dhristi is calling herself Bulbul’s Jethani. Vishesh admits that Dhristi is now his wife and, therefore, the eldest daughter-in-law of the house. Bulbul, Varnika, and Sulakshana are in tears, unable to believe what they are hearing. Dhristi arrogantly tells Bulbul that as her Jethani, Bulbul should touch her feet. Bulbul bends down but instead touches Sulakshana’s and Vardhan’s feet. She sarcastically remarks that she doesn’t mind touching Dhristi’s feet but doesn’t want to waste her efforts for a blessing that’s not guaranteed. Dhristi insists on her right to their blessings, but Sulakshana is so shocked that she nearly faints.
As Sulakshana falters, Vishesh moves to help her, but Dhristi stops him. Sulakshana, devastated, cries out that Vishesh has ruined his life without even consulting his daughter. Vishesh argues that Varnika is grown up and will understand. Varnika tearfully responds that she will never accept Dhristi, insisting that she can never take her mother’s place. Vani tries to attack Dhristi, but Bulbul stops her. Dhristi smugly remarks that it’s almost midnight and that she knows Sulakshana always wanted her elder daughter-in-law to perform the swing ritual. Sulakshana refuses to let Dhristi do the puja, but Bulbul reminds her that time waits for no one. Sulakshana calls Dhristi inauspicious, but Dhristi dismisses her, saying that no one’s bad intentions will harm them. She then urges Vishesh to join her in the ritual, but the swing’s rope gets stuck. Bulbul steps in, untangles the rope, and sarcastically comments that Dhristi always causes trouble but doesn’t know how to fix anything.
