Mera Balam Thanedaar 23rd September 2024 Written Update
The episode starts with Vardhan, Vayu, and others laughing together. Bulbul returns from her Mayka and says, “I was gone for just one day and you all are already having so much fun.” Vayu jokes with her, saying, “Do you know about Veer Bhai’s heart connection?” and does a funny imitation of Kaveri. Sulakshana teases, “You must not have slept, and poor Gita must not have either.” She advises Bulbul to go rest. Bulbul laughs and says she was more concerned about her real age. Veer signals her to go rest, and she obliges. Sulakshana then nudges Veer to tell Bulbul about his surprise. Just then, Drishti approaches Bulbul and asks, “Are you scared?” Bulbul replies, “Whether it’s you or a ghost, both are the same to me.” Drishti, suspicious, asks if Bulbul didn’t bring her birth certificate and wonders if she’s hiding something.
Bulbul retorts, “I thought of gifting him a dog, but it looks like I already have you barking around.” Drishti, irritated, walks away, leaving Bulbul to think that Drishti will stop at nothing to uncover her real age. Later, Bulbul confides in Siddharth about Drishti’s suspicions regarding her bone density test and that Veer wants to register their marriage today. Siddharth agrees that for now, they need to deal with Drishti.
Afterward, Bulbul steps out of the bathroom, and Veer teasingly asks, “Where are you off to after just getting back from Pushkar?” Bulbul quips back, “Are you saying I don’t usually take baths?” Veer playfully removes a cloth from her head and says, “How can I let you go so easily?” The romantic mood kicks in, and “Inna Sona” plays in the background as he runs his fingers through her hair. Bulbul tries to leave, but Veer handcuffs her, smiling mischievously. He jokes, “You’ve been caught red-handed, stealing my heart.” Bulbul nervously asks, “Did Drishti tell you about my real age?” Veer, oblivious, responds, “You think you can just wander around after stealing my heart? I remember you tricked me into these cuffs once, and while I was angry then, I love you even more for your innocence now.” He then insists they get married today with full rituals. Bulbul, thinking fast, suggests they wait until their anniversary. Veer, eager to proceed, says he doesn’t want to waste any more time, but Bulbul knows she needs to delay the marriage because of her age.
Soon after, Vardhan, Sulakshana, Vayu, and others arrive with drums, cheering for the upcoming wedding. Bulbul expresses concern about preparations, but Sulakshana reassures her that everything is already arranged. Veer suggests they go shopping, but Siddharth intervenes, saying Bulbul needs to help him. Bulbul backs him up, saying it’s to buy something for Vani. Veer, though slightly disappointed, lets her go but reminds her to return quickly, as today is their wedding.
Siddharth and Bulbul head to the hospital to deal with Drishti, who has been following them. Inside the hospital, Siddharth and Bulbul make their way to the record room. Drishti, still suspicious, manages to get her hands on Bulbul’s file but is caught by a security guard and escorted out. Siddharth then confronts Drishti, who is dressed as a nurse. He scolds her for attempting to steal Bulbul’s medical report and reminds her it’s a crime. Drishti, still adamant, checks the report and finds that it states Bulbul is 18 years and 6 months old. Siddharth remembers their plan to trick Drishti with a fake report. When Drishti accuses him of hiding something, Siddharth brushes her off, claiming that Bulbul merely needed her medical file for medications. Drishti, still suspicious, asks where Bulbul is now, to which Siddharth responds that he dropped her at the market to buy something for Vani. Drishti, though still wary, leaves.
Bulbul returns home, relieved that Drishti’s suspicions have been eased for now. She expresses her desire to marry but only after she turns 18. Veer appears, playfully playing her old ringtone. He applies mehendi on her hand, reminiscing about the time he accidentally wrote his name on her hand during their last marriage ritual. He reassures her, “Our names are written on each other’s hearts, and that can never be erased.” Bulbul, feeling emotional, tells him she’s lucky to have him as her husband and asks, “Will you always love me, no matter what?” Veer promises to love her always. Bulbul, seeking reassurance, asks, “What if I make a mistake and make you really angry? Will you still love me then?” Veer smiles and responds, “Instead of eating malpua, you should take my scoldings and never leave until I calm down. You once told me that you’d stick with me like ‘sur and taal’ or like ‘Vikram aur Betaal,’ so don’t ever leave my side.” Bulbul hopes in her heart that Veer will continue to love her, no matter what happens.
