Mera Balam Thanedaar 21st September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Drishti confronting Gita, saying that she mentioned Bulbul is a minor. Gita, surprised, asks what she is talking about, and explains that if Bulbul were a minor, she wouldn’t have been able to marry. She adds that Bulbul will be turning 19 in a few days. Drishti points out that Kishori aunty said Gita and she had their deliveries on the same day, and her daughter will be turning 18 in a few months. Gita clarifies that she had taken Bulbul for her first-year vaccination and that Kishori, who was in pain at the time, must have misunderstood since Bulbul was weak then. Gita then urges Drishti not to ruin her sister’s marriage.
Meanwhile, Veer tells Bulbul that their marriage wasn’t completed in front of his mother, so they should marry again and unite forever. He kneels down, asking her if she will marry him again and promises to live with him for life. He admits that their previous marriage wasn’t registered, but this time he plans to officially register it. Bulbul, silently worried, thinks about her minor status. Veer, eager to say “those three words,” doesn’t notice her hesitation. Bulbul, for the sake of everyone’s happiness, decides to take his hand. Everyone is pleased, but Drishti grows suspicious, noticing Bulbul’s unease. Veer then asks Gita to get Bulbul’s birth certificate from their father so he can register their marriage. Gita nods in agreement. Drishti decides she needs to uncover the truth and leaves with a smile. The family is joyful for Bulbul and Veer.
Bulbul confides in Gita, saying that if their marriage gets registered, it will be a big problem for Veer since she is still a minor. She suggests they should tell Veer the truth. Gita reassures her that she will turn 18 in a few weeks and warns her to be cautious, explaining that Drishti is suspicious of her age. She recounts everything to Bulbul, leaving her shocked. Gita adds that she temporarily cleared Drishti’s doubts, but she won’t stay quiet for long. Bulbul becomes anxious.
Drishti goes to Devender’s house and gifts him expensive wine. Devender, surprised, asks her why she’s not at her sasural. Drishti responds by saying that she cares more for her father than her in-laws. In her mind, she vows not to let Bulbul off easily. Meanwhile, Bulbul, worried, tells Gita that Drishti isn’t home. Just then, Sulakshana enters, saying she wants to talk to Gita. She apologizes for previously questioning Gita’s upbringing and admits she was wrong. Gita, surprised, asks why she’s apologizing. Sulakshana praises Bulbul, saying nothing wrong will happen to them as long as Bulbul is with her. Gita, looking at her watch, excuses herself, saying Bulbul’s father must be waiting for her. Bulbul, suspecting Drishti might be at Devender’s, asks if she can go along. Sulakshana agrees. Veer offers to drop them off.
At Devender’s house, Drishti slyly tells him that Veer needs Bulbul’s birth certificate to register the marriage. Devender, slightly tipsy, says that Veer has been asking him for it, but he tricked him. Laughing, he adds that while Veer thinks he’s smart, he’s actually the wiser one. Drishti pushes him further, asking to see the birth certificate. Devender, in his drunken state, hands it over. Drishti checks it and realizes that, according to the document, Bulbul is about to turn 19. She asks Devender if Bulbul has indeed turned 18. Devender, smirking, says it’s a secret. Drishti pushes further, asking what the secret is. Devender, impressed with her cleverness, starts to reveal that Bulbul’s age is listed as 18 for a reason, but he faints before finishing his sentence.
Frustrated, Drishti tries to wake him, asking him to reveal the secret, but he’s too drunk. She scolds herself for giving him too much wine. Just then, Gita and Bulbul arrive. Bulbul, seeing her father passed out, thinks that he didn’t reveal anything to Drishti. Drishti, sensing the tension, claims she had come for some work and asks Veer to take her home. Bulbul, suspicious, wonders why Drishti, who insulted Veer, would want to go with him. Drishti clarifies that she’s married and doesn’t look at other women’s husbands. Veer, irritated, tells Drishti to leave just as she arrived. Before leaving, Drishti tells Veer to take Bulbul’s birth certificate with him. Bulbul panics, realizing that Veer might discover her real age. She quickly snatches the birth certificate from Drishti, claiming that with rain coming, she will keep it safe. Veer offers to hold onto it himself, but Bulbul insists, saying this time their marriage will be registered. Drishti, noticing how desperate Bulbul was to take the certificate, begins to think that Bulbul is hiding something and resolves to find out the truth.
