Mera Balam Thanedaar 17th December 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Bulbul coming home and calling out for Vani and Vyom. Drishti informs her that Vansh has taken them on a picnic. Bulbul realizes that she is late. Drishti wonders why she arrived so late. Sulakshana mentions that Bulbul had promised to take Vani and Vyom, but since she wasn’t home, Vansh took them instead. Drishti tells Bulbul to wait a few more minutes, as something big is about to happen.
Veer arrives with Dhruv and constables, demanding to know where Vansh is. Vardhan and Sulakshana stand up in concern. Veer insists that they know exactly why he’s there — to arrest Vansh. Sulakshana is stunned and asks why. Bulbul also questions what’s going on. Veer reveals that Vansh is a criminal and is wanted for kidnapping. Drishti quickly switches on the TV. Everyone is shocked to see Vansh holding Vyom hostage, threatening to kill him unless his demands are met. Vansh demands 10 crores in cash and the release of Ratan Singh from jail. He warns the police not to act smart or he will start killing the children. He insists that only one person should come with the money — Bulbul’s husband, ACP Veer Pratap Singh. Bulbul recalls how Vansh had once promised to call her Bhabhi when he reformed. Now, seeing this situation, she grows doubtful, thinking Vansh is not doing this intentionally and is only asking for help because he’s trapped.
Vardhan protests, saying that Vansh could never do such a thing. Varnika suggests that the video might have been morphed to make it look like Vansh.
Veer argues that Vansh is a criminal, citing proof of his involvement in the ATM loot and the theft of a temple’s Rani haar. He shows a photo of a locket belonging to Vansh, claiming this is enough evidence. He makes it clear that he must follow his duty. Sulakshana refuses to believe that Vansh could do this, while Bulbul stands firm, declaring that Vansh is innocent.
Veer asks about the proof. Bulbul insists that appearances can be deceptive. She trusts Vansh because he has Maasa and Babasa’s blood, and her heart tells her he is honest. Drishti secretly thinks this kidnapping was orchestrated to frame Vansh.
Veer tells Bulbul that the law is based on evidence, and all the proof is right in front of them. He asserts that he has to do his duty. He then receives a call from the Commissioner, who demands that Veer reach the crime scene and catch Vansh, dead or alive. He warns Veer not to hesitate. Veer agrees and tells Bulbul to take care of the family before leaving. Sulakshana faints, causing further distress.
Drishti smirks, thinking Veer is going to kill Vansh, believing he’s guilty. She also believes Bulbul will follow them, and once Vansh is dead, she will claim that Agent Baby was responsible for his death to get the medal.
Meanwhile, Vansh is still holding Vyom at gunpoint. He hopes Bulbul sees the video and understands that he is asking for help. The goon in charge of the situation mocks him, telling him to play with his toy gun while he deals with the hostages. Vani, who had been held hostage, rushes to Vansh, and he promises nothing will happen to her. He pleads with the goon to release the children. The goon slaps him and says he will kill Vyom and Vani first.
Veer orders his team to shoot on sight. Bulbul goes to her room, thinking she must contact Veer. She calls him as Agent Baby. Veer responds, “Jai Hind, Ms. Baby.” Bulbul urges him not to issue a shoot-to-kill order, as Vansh is innocent. Veer insists that he has to do his duty and remove the children from danger. He questions why she believes the criminal is innocent. Bulbul reveals that she is an undercover agent and requests to go speak to Vansh. Veer insists on accompanying her, but she insists that having him there in uniform would cause problems. She assures him that she can handle the situation herself and will ensure that no one gets hurt, especially Vansh. Veer agrees, trusting that if Agent Baby proves Vansh’s innocence, he won’t have to kill his brother.
Bulbul prepares to leave, feeling guilty about leaving Sulakshana behind, but she knows she must go. Siddharth gives Sulakshana an injection to help her recover from the shock. Vardhan, deeply concerned, prepares to go to the scene. Bulbul asks him to stay with Maasa, as she needs him. She then asks Vardhan if she can go to the temple to pray, and he agrees. Drishti thinks to herself that she knows Bulbul’s plan to go undercover, and that’s exactly what she wants — for Vansh to get hurt because of her actions.
Bulbul arrives as Agent Baby. Veer orders Dhruv to seal all the exits. Bulbul plans to sneak in through the back. She notices constables standing guard and realizes they won’t let her through. Recalling Vyom’s advice about the window leading to the storeroom, she decides to play the recording of Veer calling for her to hurry. The constables hear it and leave their post. Bulbul sneaks inside through the back gate, climbs through the window, and enters the building. She hears the children crying and wonders if they are being held captive.
