Mera Balam Thanedaar 11th September 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with Bulbul reflecting on her life, thinking, “Sometimes I wonder why God gave me a sister like Dhristi and a father like Baba sa, but then I realize they were given to me so I could understand the real value of family and receive the blessing of such a wonderful family.” Vayu interrupts her thoughts, urging her to come quickly. Bulbul sees this as her opportunity to retrieve the report from the locker. She successfully retrieves the report and feels relieved. Vardhan calls for Vayu, who responds that they’ll go along with the ladies. Vardhan insists the ladies will come later.

Sulakshana calls for Bulbul, who quickly hides the keys in her room, planning to destroy them later. She steps out and asks Sulakshana about the God’s jewelry. Sulakshana instructs her to bring it from the locker. Dhristi volunteers to fetch it, but when she looks for the keys, she realizes they’re missing. “I left them here, where could they have gone?” she wonders. Gita advises Dhristi to search for them quickly, warning her not to tarnish the family’s reputation. Bulbul offers to help and heads outside. Dhristi begins to suspect that Bulbul may have taken the keys.

Bulbul strategically places the keys on the ground outside and then calls Dhristi over, pointing them out. Dhristi immediately accuses Bulbul of stealing the keys, but Bulbul retorts, saying she simply found them and challenges Dhristi to pick them up if she’s so sure of herself. Dhristi tries to grab the keys, but Bulbul picks them up first and calls everyone outside.

Dhristi, frustrated, continues to accuse Bulbul of theft. Bulbul counters by reminding her that she only wanted to help, given that Dhristi had added extra makhana to the offering by mistake. Gita steps in, stating that Dhristi isn’t ready to handle the responsibilities of the household, and requests Sulakshana to transfer the responsibility—and the keys—to Bulbul. She turns to the other women present and asks if they agree, to which they all nod in agreement. They mention that Bulbul saved Mahant Ji and received his blessings, making her special, while Dhristi is just ordinary.

Bulbul calmly responds, hinting at Dhristi’s manipulative ways, while the others insist that Bulbul is the right person to hold the responsibility. Reluctantly, Sulakshana hands the keys to Bulbul, acknowledging that they have found their rightful keeper and blesses her. Bulbul gratefully hugs Sulakshana.

Later, Gita informs Sulakshana that she has an urgent matter at home and leaves. Meanwhile, Bulbul takes a moment to remind Dhristi, “I told you the keys would be mine again.” Dhristi, feeling defeated, mutters, “Mummy ji doesn’t think I’m worthy, but just wait and see what I do next.”

The scene shifts to the preparations for the puja. Pandit Ji announces that all the couples will perform the puja together. Suddenly, Siddharth arrives. Vani spots him and discreetly takes him to the temple. She proudly shows him the idol she made, along with a *chunari* she received from Varnika. She urges him to do the puja with her as Siddhu, not the disguise with the fake beard and mustache. Touched, Siddharth removes the beard and mustache, covering her with the *chunari*.

Meanwhile, Bulbul asks Sulakshana about the significance of Hartali Teej. Sulakshana explains the importance of the festival. As they prepare, Pandit Ji points out that the *chandan* is missing from the offerings. Bulbul realizes she forgot to bring it and hurries off to get it. On her way, she overhears Siddharth and Vani performing the puja. Surprised, she asks Siddharth what he’s doing there. He explains, “I had to come for Vani’s sake. I tried to reach you, but your phone was unreachable.” Bulbul admits she left her phone behind and urges Siddharth to leave immediately. Vani protests, but Bulbul calms her down by offering her some *prasad*. As Vani takes a bite of the laddoo, she asks Siddhu when he’ll return. Siddharth promises, “Very soon.” Bulbul helps him disguise himself again and asks him to leave quietly.

Unbeknownst to them, Dhristi watches from afar and snaps a picture of Bulbul and Siddharth together. Smirking, she thinks, “Bulbul is definitely up to something, and I can smell it from here.” Bulbul returns to the gathering, only to be confronted by Dhristi. Dhristi grabs her arm, questioning, “Who was that man with you?” Bulbul calmly brushes her off, “Mind your own business.”

As everyone notices Dhristi’s black attire, they begin to murmur. Sulakshana sees her and, startled, drops the *puja* plate from her hands. Dhristi boldly declares that she will perform the puja for her husband. Sulakshana, though upset with her son, insists, “I won’t let anything happen to him.” Pandit Ji intervenes, reminding Dhristi that she cannot perform the puja in black clothes. Dhristi, feeling slighted, responds, “My own family thinks I’m not suitable, which is why I will do this puja in black.” Vishesh tries to reason with her, “Change your clothes, Dhristi. Maasa is worried about you.” Dhristi retorts, “Are you scared I’ll die? It takes more than that to kill someone.”

Bulbul, concerned for Maasa, quickly devises a plan. She exchanges a look with Vayu, and together, they pull down a red cloth that had been tied nearby, letting it fall over Dhristi’s head, covering her in red. Bulbul smiles, satisfied with her solution.
