Megha Barsenge

Megha Barsenge 30th September 2024 Written Update

The episode begins with Megha praying and recalling Talwar’s words. Talwar tells her, “I have dismissed the unnecessary charges against you. You can resume your job.” Ranjeeta feels relieved. Talwar continues, “I know everything that happened with your daughter. Arjun’s hard work and career are on the line, and I’m proud of him for doing his duty to save you, Megha. He had to lie that he was married to you.” Talwar then says, “I know what I’m about to ask is wrong, but it’s my duty to try. There’s an enquiry against Arjun, and he has to answer whether he was married to you. If he says yes, he can be saved. But I know my son—he won’t lie, not even for me. He will tell the truth and lose his job. Talk to him if you feel he has helped you.” Talwar leaves, and Megha starts worrying. Kripal advises, “There’s no need to help anyone, Megha.” Surinder adds, “The rich fall sick, and the poor become helpless. We’re helpless; don’t get involved.”

Megha remembers Arjun saving her.

She looks at the documents. Ranjeeta asks, “Have you kept all the documents and evidence?” Megha replies, “Yes.” Surinder says, “We’ll file the case against Manoj.” Megha stops him, saying, “Wait, I have to go somewhere else first. You go to the police station; I’ll join you there.” She then calls Sonam and asks for help. Meanwhile, Talwar advises Arjun, “Remember, you’ll be speaking on behalf of the entire family. I know you’ll do the right thing.” Arjun nods in agreement.

Arjun faces the enquiry. The officer asks if Arjun was aware of the consequences when he misused his immunity. Arjun replies, “I understand. The girl I helped…” The officer interrupts, saying, “Misused.” Arjun continues, “I was helping an Indian girl. I used it, but I didn’t misuse it.” The officer asks, “Do you accept the charges?” Talwar waits outside, anxious. Arjun recalls his father’s words and responds, “I helped Megha. Her husband tortured her and framed her in a drugs case in Georgia. I work in the women’s welfare department and believed I was helping a woman. Yes, I accept the charges. I lied in Georgia to bring her safely back to India.” The officer says, “You are guilty, so we….”

Arjun then meets Talwar, but before anything further, Megha arrives with a group of women, protesting in support of Arjun. The officers instruct Megha to leave, but Talwar insists, “Let her speak.” Megha apologizes, saying, “We had no other choice. I am Megha Khurana, and Arjun saved me and brought me back from Georgia. Yes, he lied.” The officer responds, “He’s paying the price for it. You can leave. Make an appointment and come back.” Megha counters, “Did the commission call me? Did you investigate the matter? You’re holding an enquiry on Arjun.” The officer replies, “This is an internal matter.” Megha argues, “You can’t conclude this enquiry without understanding the facts.” The officer reminds her, “Arjun admitted he lied to save you from Georgia.” Megha boldly declares, “What if I say I’m married to Arjun and he’s under pressure to lie?” Arjun is shocked and starts to speak, but Talwar stops him. The officer asks, “Are you married to Arjun?”

Megha replies, “You don’t care. You might as well shut down this women’s welfare office.” The officer demands, “Are you married to Arjun or not? Answer.” Megha says, “I’m married to Manoj Kohli. Sonam was supposed to marry Rajveer. Many women have been deceived. Society calls us abandoned women—men have left us and fled. I tried to raise my voice, but I was tortured, beaten, and framed. Arjun raised his voice for us. He fought for us, and because of him, the frauds are in jail, and many more will be, thanks to Officer Arjun Talwar.”

She continues, “Arjun is targeting the frauds. He gave us hope.” The officer counters, “Rules were broken. There must have been other ways.” Megha argues, “Maybe I would’ve gotten justice in 5-10 years. What about my life? So many people wait years in court for justice. At least I’m home now because of Arjun.” The officer says, “We can’t maintain law and order by making decisions based on emotional appeals.” Arjun tells Megha, “This won’t help. Please, leave.” Megha replies, “I told you the same before. Did you leave? No.” She continues, “If you think I’m just giving a speech, let me show you something.”

Megha then reveals the torture marks on her body. “This is what my husband, Manoj, did to me. These aren’t the only wounds; I have many more.” Arjun quickly covers her with her dupatta. Megha continues, “This is Arjun Talwar. We women have come here for him. Does anyone come out in support of any other officer?” Sonam speaks up, “Arjun saved me from a fraud as well.” The women praise Arjun. Megha says, “If you remove Arjun, it will be a loss for the department and society. We women have a new perspective on life because of Arjun, and we’ll risk everything for him.” The officer concludes, “We will make a decision. You’ve said your part.”
