Megha Barsenge 23rd September 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Megha speaking to the judge. Manoj interjects, saying, “You can ask me—Megha is my wife. It was a forced marriage, and Arjun is lying.” He insists they should not listen to Arjun. The judge turns to Megha, requesting her to tell the truth. Arjun steps forward, explaining, “This is a matter from five years ago. Megha was 17 when I first saw her at a police function—it was love at first sight for us.” Manoj, surprised, asks, “What?” Arjun replies, “It’s not your fault if you don’t remember this.” Manoj questions, “Why?” Arjun continues, “Her mother was a constable, my father was an SSP. Megha was underage, and back home, we have different norms—they don’t understand love. We were in love, we rebelled, and wanted to marry. We got married when she turned 18.” Manoj accuses him, “He’s lying so much; I have proof.” Manoj presents records as evidence. Arjun also provides some documents. Shalini remarks, “If this plan fails, then Megha could be punished for a long time.”
Arjun provides the proof. Manoj insists, “He is lying.” Arjun responds, “I’m telling the truth.” Manoj scolds Megha. Arjun warns Manoj to step back or else he will beat him again. Manoj steps back. Arjun says, “Megha didn’t marry you. You’ve forgotten she’s mentally unstable; she can’t think clearly, right?” He continues, “Megha and I got married first; your marriage to her is invalid.” The judge calls for order, asking them to maintain silence. Arjun states, “There are two issues: Is Megha mentally ill or not? Who is lying—Manoj or me? Manoj claimed Megha is taking drugs and has lost her mind, that she was forced to marry him and followed him here. Now I’m asserting Megha is my wife. It’s not a big deal if she doesn’t remember. If she’s not ill, then Manoj has filed a false case against her; she isn’t insane and doesn’t take drugs.” Manoj protests, “But she broke out of prison.” Arjun counters, “Then is everything else false?” He declares, “Megha is my wife, I submit.” Megha begins to cry. Arjun adds, “Megha’s mental state isn’t stable. We haven’t been living together for a few years. I didn’t know when she met Manoj and married him, but I love my wife deeply.” He requests the judge to allow them to return to their country, saying, “I need to treat her. I’m sorry for the trouble.” Shalini mentions, “Arjun and his family have diplomatic immunity; he has come here for official work.” Goldie says, “Keep your money; we don’t want to sell the house.” Dolly taunts Ranjeeta. Surinder asks her to come back later. Ranjeeta questions, “How did you decide this?” He replies, “We need money; I have to go and save Megha.” The judge concludes, “Arjun claims Megha is his wife. Arjun and Megha have diplomatic immunity; they should return to their country.” Arjun feels relieved. Megha thinks, “Arjun lied and saved me, but was this right?” The song “Zindagi…” plays as Megha recalls Manoj.
