Mangal Lakshmi 7th January 2025 Written Episode Update
Mangal and Adit arrive at a hotel in Sri Lanka, where Isha warmly greets them, much to Mangal’s delight. She explains that her trip was arranged at the last minute by their boss and asks Mangal to settle into her room.
Meanwhile, Sowmya offers to help Ishana with a math problem, but Ishana declines. Akshat asks Sowmya when she plans to leave, subtly hinting that she has overstayed her welcome. Kusum steps in, telling Akshat that Sowmya is their guest and will be leaving soon. Frustrated, Sowmya walks away, while Kusum and the children exchange amused glances.
At the hotel, Adit picks up the room key, while Mangal approaches the receptionist to get hers. The receptionist informs them that, as a married couple, they have been assigned the same room. Both Adit and Mangal protest, requesting separate rooms, but the receptionist explains that there are no other available rooms. Mangal considers finding another hotel, but the receptionist assures her there are none nearby. Mangal calls Isha for help, but Isha says her room is also full. Following Kusum’s advice, Isha suggests to Mangal that refusing to share a room might harm their country’s reputation. Reluctantly, Mangal agrees to share the room after Adit suggests they adjust.
The hotel staff welcomes Mangal, Adit, and Isha with a traditional ceremony. Isha updates Kusum, telling her everything is going according to plan, but she quickly stops when Sowmya approaches, raising Sowmya’s suspicions. Mangal video calls her children to show them the hotel. Isha arranges another traditional welcome for Mangal and Adit, during which they are asked to exchange garlands. Although they initially resist, Akshat insists, and they comply, much to the delight of the children. Sowmya sees Akshat’s excitement during a video call and feels uneasy. When she questions the children, they avoid responding and walk away.
Sowmya video calls Adit, but he disconnects and calls her back on a regular call. When she asks if Mangal is with him, Adit lies, claiming Mangal is in her room. Sowmya remains suspicious and asks him to show his room, but Adit avoids her questions and ends the call. The hotel staff sends special attire for a party to Mangal and Adit. Mangal complains about the dress, but Isha informs her it is the required dress code. Adit teases Mangal, suggesting she can skip the party if she feels uncomfortable.
Lakshmi manages to escape from a car just before it plunges into a valley, but she loses consciousness. As the court session begins, Raghuveer feels anxious, fearing they may not get another chance to prove Karthik’s innocence. Lakshmi regains consciousness and prays to Lord Shiva for strength to reveal the truth. Injured, she rushes to the court. The judge is about to declare Karthik guilty when Lakshmi arrives and halts the verdict. Everyone is stunned by her condition. Karthik rushes to her, but the police intervene.
Lakshmi informs the judge that she has evidence to prove Karthik’s innocence but lost it when she was kidnapped by goons. She explains that it was a conspiracy to suppress the truth. The judge grants more time for the case. As the police take Karthik away, he tells Lakshmi he is willing to accept any punishment but cannot bear to see her in danger. Lakshmi promises to clear his name.
In jail, Karthik is overwhelmed with guilt, believing he is the cause of Lakshmi’s suffering. He sharpens a spoon into a makeshift weapon, intending to end his life. Lakshmi, feeling restless, rushes to meet him but is denied entry by the police. Desperate, she sneaks in and finds Karthik unresponsive, bleeding from his wrist. Horrified, she calls out to him, but he remains motionless.
