Mangal Lakshmi

Mangal Lakshmi 25th October 2024 Written Episode Update

Soumya says, “I will handle the Diwali pooja.” She leaves. Kusum responds, “Mangal, I want you to take care of all the decorations and do the pooja, not that girl.” Mangal agrees, “You’re right.”

A woman arrives to sell diyas. Soumya tells her to leave. The woman replies, “Mangal buys from us every year.” Soumya retorts, “You have outdated designs. Just go!” The woman asks, “Where is Mangal?” Soumya shoves her, causing the woman to fall and her diyas to scatter. Soumya warns, “Leave before I break the rest as well.” The woman, crying, says, “You’re a witch. You did not do the right thing.” She departs in tears. Soumya dismissively says, “Stupid person.”

Soumya decorates the house and tells Adit, “You look amazing!” He replies, “You look great too.” They share a hug. Kusum asks, “Where are the diyas?” Soumya responds, “I decorated the entire house with lights. Who uses old diyas now? Things have changed. I am the new daughter-in-law of this house.”

Mangal begins the pooja. Kusum invites Adit to sit with her. The pandit ji states that the Lakshmi of the house should light the diya. Kusum imagines this and tears up. Soumya enters, declaring, “Mangal can’t do the pooja. I am the Lakshmi of this house. I will handle it now.” Kusum scolds her, “Have some shame. If you do the pooja, will Akshar find out?” Soumya replies, “He’s out with his friends.”

Mangal encounters the woman outside and shares what Soumya did. “She has no heart,” the woman says. Mangal replies, “I’m glad I found you. I will decorate my entire house with your diyas.” Kusum laments that this house feels dark on Diwali. The pandit ji arrives for the pooja and asks for the daughter-in-law. Soumya appears, saying, “The son and daughter-in-law are here.” She recalls it’s the same pandit ji who officiated her wedding and hides her face. “He can’t reveal the truth to everyone,” she worries. Adit turns off the lights, asking, “What happened?” She explains, “It’s the same pandit. If he recognizes us, he’ll tell everyone.” Kusum remarks, “The only bad omen in this house this Diwali is her.” Mangal enters with diyas, and Kusum states, “The light of the house is here.” The pandit ji asserts, “She’s the Lakshmi of this house.” Kusum argues, “Artificial lights don’t illuminate anything.” Just then, the lights return, and Sudesh explains, “The fuse was out.”

Kusum tells Mangal, “Come and start the pooja.” She insists Adit should participate with his wife. The pandit ji says, “They aren’t married.” Kusum insists, “They married in the temple.” The pandit ji continues, “I was officiating their wedding.” Soumya pleads, “Do something. Stop it!” He replies, “Their wedding wasn’t completed. They only took three rounds. How can you act like husband and wife when your wedding isn’t finished?” Everyone is shocked. The pandit ji leaves, and Kusum exclaims, “This is my home.” She laments, “It’s Diwali today, and the pooja hasn’t started.” Turning to Mangal, she instructs her to sit for the pooja alone, saying, “We don’t need Adit. Start the pooja.”
Gayatri recalls what Jiya mentioned. Lakshmi and Karthik perform the pooja, and Lakshmi hands Gayatri a thaali. Gayatri accidentally drops it and blames Lakshmi. Karthik helps her clean up, and Sanjana says, “At least don’t lie in front of God.” Jiya looks at her photos with Karthik.

Kusum confronts Adit, asking, “What is the truth?” Soumya interjects, “Amma…” Kusum silences her, saying, “I’m speaking to my son.” Kusum then asks, “Did you marry Soumya?” He replies, “The pheras didn’t complete.” Kusum retorts, “Do you have any shame? Everything about this Soumya is a lie. Your sindur is also fake. Get out of my house!” She shoves her out.
