Akshar is crying in class, and the other kids tease him. The principal calls Mangal, who is shocked and rushes to the school.
Adit reflects on how much has happened in one day. His family disowned him, and he was their only son. He struggles to understand why they couldn’t accept his feelings for Mangal. Now, they have also hurt Soumya. Just then, Adit receives a call from Akshar’s school.
Mangal meets with the principal, who expresses concern for Akshar, saying he appears very distressed lately. She mentions that kids are affected when there are issues at home. The principal tried to contact Adit, but he didn’t respond. Soumya, overhearing, asks Adit why they are calling. He assumes they’re asking for fees and refuses to pick up the call, curious to see how Mangal handles it. He believes she will have to come to him for help.
Lipika whines to her mother about being hungry. Shanti scolds her and gives her something to eat. Lipika asks why she is being hit, and Shanti accuses her of making Mangal sign the divorce papers. Lipika insists this isn’t true, while Shanti claims there is no valid signature. Soumya is unaware of the truth as well. Shanti presses Lipika for an explanation.
Akshar states that he won’t eat until he sees his father. Mangal explains that Adit is out for work, and Akshar insists on calling him. Sudesh says he wants to play Ludo and beat Akshar today. Kusum argues that no one can defeat him. Akshar, upset, says he wants to talk to his father, noting that Adit usually picks up his calls. He feels neglected, especially since Adit didn’t respond to the principal’s call. Akshar expresses his desire to meet his father, asking Mangal to apologize to him as he does to Ishana. He adds that he doesn’t like it when Adit isn’t around.
Lakshmi arrives and suggests they make a card for Adit to show off Akshar’s creativity. Ishana offers to help with her new art kit. Mangal is troubled, trying to figure out how to address Akshar’s feelings. Kusum hopes that Soumya won’t find happiness after what she has done to their family.
Shanti enters, announcing that the person who assisted Soumya has arrived. She throws Lipika into the room, accusing her of starting trouble. Shanti demands that Lipika touch Mangal’s feet and apologize. Lipika sits before Mangal and begins to explain. Shanti urges her to tell Mangal the truth. Lipika admits her mistake and reveals that Soumya blackmailed her into getting the divorce signature. Mangal is taken aback as Lipika shares the full story. Lipika pleads for forgiveness, but Soumya chastises her for betraying her sister, calling her a curse on sisterhood. Lipika apologizes, saying she was forced to sign the papers under pressure. Kusum demands that Lipika leave, but Lipika insists that the papers were fake, shocking everyone. She reveals that she never had Mangal’s genuine signature and only forged them, unaware that Soumya believed them to be real.
Kusum questions the significance of this revelation, given that Adit has married. Lipika explains that according to Indian law, if Adit didn’t legally divorce Mangal before marrying again, that second marriage is void. She proposes that they could file a case against Soumya and bring Adit back, insisting that they aren’t truly married. Mangal, however, stops her and states she doesn’t want to expose anyone. Kusum presses her to fight for her rights, emphasizing that she is still Adit’s wife in the eyes of the law. Shanti encourages her to confront Soumya and assert her position.
Mangal responds that her victory isn’t determined by a piece of paper. She believes marriage is rooted in love and trust, something she felt for 15 years. Adit never treated her as a partner, and he easily signed the papers. Her signatures may have been forged, but his were real, reflecting his choices. She contemplates what she could prove in court.
