Mangal Lakshmi 20th December 2024 Written Episode Update
Lakshmi says Karthik was on top and Jiya was screaming. He says you gave your statement. Thanks. She replies that Jiya is lying. He says we’ll decide that. He then tells Karthik that he was an example for people. Is this what you did? You’re under arrest. Everyone is shocked. Lakshmi says he is innocent. He didn’t do anything. Magnal says he can’t do this. He says let us do our job. Gayatri slaps Lakshmi.
Karthik is taken to a police van. Gayatri says, “Did you see what she did? She trapped Karthik. She stated he was doing everything.” Lakshmi says, “I answered what they asked.” Gayatri responds, “Did you understand that what you said implied he was the culprit? You repeated what Jiya said. What revenge are you taking from him?” Lakshmi says, “No, maa.” Gayatri says, “I never want to see your face again.” Lakshmi cries. Magnal hugs her and says, “Everything will be fine. You can’t give up. You have to fight for the truth.” Lakshmi says, “You’re right. I will fight for the truth. I have you with me. I will prove Karthik’s innocence. I will fight the whole world for him.”
At night, Mangal recalls what happened. She cries. Lakshmi calls her and says, “I was at the police station. They wouldn’t let me meet Karthik. They said I could meet him tomorrow.” Magnal says, “Don’t worry. Karthik will be out of jail.” Lakshmi replies, “Jiya has stooped so low. Everything was going so well.” Magnal says, “I should come to you.” Lakshmi says, “No, there’s media outside the house. Please don’t come.” Mangal prays for Lakshmi and Karthik.
Mangal receives a cylinder delivery. She tries to take it inside. Adit comes and holds it, helping her. Mangal says, “You?” Soumya sees him and says, “I could have done it.” He replies, “I could see. I came here for my kids only.” Soumya gets angry, wondering why Adit came there. He says, “I came here to drop things for the kids. Please give it to them.” Mangal says, “Okay.” Soumya says, “I need to make sure Mangal stays far from this area.” She speaks to a woman on the phone, saying, “A strange woman lives in the flat. She’s so shameless. She left her husband.” The women come to Mangal’s house and question her, asking if she left Adit for someone else, or if he left her. Mangal replies, “That’s our personal matter.” The women decide to talk to the landlord.
The landlord calls Kusum and says, “Please trust me. Mangal is the most dignified woman. You can’t kick her out. She’s my daughter-in-law. If she was bad, I’d have left her myself.” She thanks the landlord. Soumya overhears and says, “It’s all Kusum’s plan to keep Adit and Mangal close.”
Mangal comes to Kusum’s house to do the pooja. She says, “Everyone is so worried. We can’t even go outside because of the media.” Shanti says, “Everything is over for us too. We are defamed, and Lipika’s wedding wasn’t even completed.” Mangal hugs Lipika and asks, “How are you?” Shanti replies, “You care only about Lakshmi, not Lipika. Because of Lakshmi, Lipika’s baraat went back. You’re doing this pooja for her?” Mangal says, “It’s for both of them. Jiya is to blame, not Lakshmi. She accused Karthik. She didn’t care about anything, and you invited her here. You pressured her.” Shanti says, “Did I know about their affairs?” Lipika says, “Mom, stop it, please.” She says, “I’ll speak when I am heartbroken. I couldn’t sleep all night, and she only cares about Lakshmi.” Lipika says, “Stop it. She kept this pooja for you, mom. Don’t ruin it. I don’t want to know what happened or why. I just want peace.” Mangal hugs her.
Mangal starts the pooja. The women come outside. Kusum also arrives. The women apologize to Mangal, saying, “We said some bad things. We have no issues with you.” Kusum says, “We are always there with Mangal.” Mangal invites them for the pooja. Soumya also comes in.
Gayatri cries and worries for Karthik. The lawyers aren’t taking his case. Nidhi tries to speak to other lawyers, but Gayatri insists, “I want mine back. He’s in jail.” She cries and says, “I want him home.” Lakshmi says, “Maa, please drink this lemonade.” Gayatri throws it and says, “You’re responsible for all this.” Karthik’s dad says, “How is it her fault?” The media gathers outside their gate and questions Lakshmi. Karthik’s dad shuts the gate, saying, “Don’t open the door. Don’t go near them or face them.” Lakshmi cries. Sanjana shows videos of Karthik. Gayatri says, “Stop it.”
Jiya feels bad for Karthik. She tells her mom, “I feel bad for Karthik.” Her mom replies, “Do as I say. You will get Karthik. Let him stay in jail for a while.” Lakshmi arrives at the police station. They won’t let her meet Karthik. She begs, “Please let me meet him once.” Finally, Lakshmi meets Karthik. He hugs her through the bars. Lakshmi says, “I know you’re innocent. I don’t know what to say. Don’t worry.” He asks, “Do you trust me?” She says, “I trust you the most. I will get you out of here. I will prove Jiya is wrong.” The inspector asks her to leave.
Jiya talks to the media and says, “No one can silence a girl because society supports me. I need your support. Karthik and his family are strong. If he gets bail, I’ll give up my life. I need your help. I’m alone. I’m not rich like them. I need media support.” She cries. Jiya says to Lakshmi, “Why are you hiding your face? Your husband did such a big sin.” Lakshmi replies, “Why did you do this to Karthik? What do you want?” Jiya says, “I take what I want. I love Karthik.” Lakshmi asks, “Does love mean this? The truth will win. This is your ego. I’ll do anything to save my husband.” Jiya says, “I’ve already won.”
Soumya says, “I want to pray for my child too. Can I come in?” Mangal agrees. Everyone is shocked to see her. The women question who she is. Kusum says, “A distant relative.” Shanti says, “Why did you let her in? She took away your life. She might be plotting something.” One woman says, “She’s a curse. She’s a witch. Kick her out.” Soumya responds, “You can’t talk to me like this.” The women say, “She’s shameless. Get out.” Mangal says, “It’s arti.” The women shove her. Mangal says, “Be careful.” The women ask, “Is she pregnant?”
