Mangal Lakshmi 17th October 2024 Written Episode Update
Mangal sees Adit and Soumya getting married. She is shocked and rushes out. Adit calls, “Mangal!” and runs after her. Soumya says, “Where are you going? Our pheras are incomplete.” He replies, “Mangal saw it. If she tells everyone, it’ll be a big mess.” Soumya responds, “Are you serious? What were you expecting? There had to be a mess. It’s good that she knows; she’ll tell everyone what you couldn’t.” Adit insists, “I wanted Mom to know well so she can accept us. She will kick us out!” Soumya argues, “We will convince her after the wedding.” Adit asks the pandit to continue. He says, “I have to go. You don’t know my mom.” She replies, “You won’t go anywhere. I don’t care if your mom accepts us or not.” He counters, “I care. You don’t care about your parents, but I do. You’re selfish enough to leave everyone for your happiness, but I can’t do that. You know I love my family. If I had to lose them, I would have long ago. Dad is already a heart patient. Mangal will make my family hate me. Please, let me go.” Soumya stops him, and he throws the knot into the fire and runs out.
Mangal runs on the road, still in shock. She recalls everything. Adit runs to find her. She remembers how Adit insulted her every time, saying she was not his match and never his choice. She falls.
Scene 2
Karthik asks if that is what she was trying to tell them. She replies, “Yes. He signed the divorce papers. I’m scared for Mangal.” Karthik reassures her, “Adit can’t do this.” She pleads, “Please take me to didi.” He responds, “Let me ask Kusum if she’s home.”
Kusum asks Karthik if Mangal isn’t with them. “Where is she then?” Mangal sits outside the house. The women look at her. Kusum sees her and is shocked by Mangal’s condition. A woman asks, “What happened to her?” Kusum responds, “Mangal!” Lakshmi suggests, “Didi is home. Let’s go there.” Kusum helps Mangal inside, asking, “How did this happen? What is this condition?” A woman queries, “Did something big happen? Adit was accused of domestic violence before; did he do it again? Speak up, Mangal.” Mangal walks into the house. Kusum stops the gossip, saying, “That case was fake.” The woman replies, “Don’t you see her condition? She looks beaten. You said she went to the temple.”
Mangal walks into the house, recalling when she first came there. She looks at her photo with Adit and falls. Mangal says, “Adit is marrying Soumya.” She connects the dots and recalls everything. “It was right in front of me. Something happened every time, but I never doubted. How could I be so stupid? I kept myself blinded. I unsaw what I saw.” She cries and says, “I am crazy. I am stupid. I am so illiterate. You have no brain. You don’t deserve anything.” She laughs crazily and claps.
Kusum comes over, saying, “Mangal, what are you doing?” She asks, “What happened? Why are you in this condition?” Sudesh inquires about the situation. Mangal laughs and claps. Kusum, concerned, asks, “What happened to you? Please don’t act like this. My heart is sinking. Please say something.” Mangal responds, “Adit.” She hugs him and cries, “Why? Why did he do this?” Kusum wonders if she saw the divorce papers. Kusum reassures her, “You saw the divorce papers; they are fake. Trust me. Adit can’t do this.” Mangal is shocked, saying, “Divorce? I will never let that happen.” Sudesh asks, “What are you saying?” She explains, “I found divorce papers in the house. They had Adit’s signature on them. But I know they are fake. Adit can’t do that. He promised me he’d be true to this marriage. They don’t mean anything. Don’t cry. Adit won’t do such a thing.” Mangal recalls Adit marrying Soumya and asserts, “He took pheras.” Kusum says, “Yes, he took pheras with you.” Sudesh asks, “Why didn’t you tell me?” Mangal insists, “I just saw them, and they are fake.” Sudesh declares, “You’re letting him go as a mother, but I won’t forgive him. He has lost his mind.” Mangal cries.
Sudesh calls Adit. He walks in.
Scene 3
The pandit announces, “Your room is left. There will be no wedding.” Soumya laments, “Will I marry myself? Your solutions didn’t work. Adit left me alone here. And here I am standing like a bride.” The pandit leaves. Soumya cries, “I won’t leave Adit. You can’t leave me alone here, Adit. I won’t let you go like this. You are mine.”
Kusum questions Adit, “You went to the hospital; your boss had an accident. Where did you go?” He replies, “I went to the temple.” Mangal looks at him. Kusum presses, “Why? You told Mangal you went to the hospital.” She continues, “First, tell Mangal the divorce papers are fake, and someone tricked you into signing them. You have no intention of divorcing her, right?” Mangal interjects, “Amma, please open your blindfold today like I did, or you won’t be able to see the truth again.” Adit’s answer would break your heart. No one will speak today; only I will question him, and he must answer.
