Mangal Lakshmi 17th January 2025 Written Episode Update
Adit assures Mangal that he hasn’t told Kusum anything and promises to keep their conversation private. Sowmya overhears them and becomes anxious, fearing that her dream about them being intimate might have come true. Mangal, feeling guilty about drinking alcohol, confesses this to Adit. He reassures her not to overthink it, pointing out that drinking is common nowadays. Mangal comments on his attitude.
Adit finds Mangal’s saree in his luggage and decides to return it to her. Sowmya notices the saree and questions him about it. Adit, irritated by her constant suspicion, explains that the laundry staff might have mixed up their clothes since they shared a room. Sowmya asks why they stayed in the same room, and Adit clarifies it was due to unavoidable circumstances. Despite her comments, Adit firmly tells her nothing happened between him and Mangal and she can believe it or not. Frustrated, Adit leaves, deciding to confront Mangal later.
Mangal wonders why Kusum is upset with her if she doesn’t know about her drinking. She reflects on an apron gifted to her with “Chef Mangal” written on it. Sowmya confronts Mangal, accusing her of being happy about getting closer to Adit. She explains that their shared room in Sri Lanka was orchestrated by Kusum and Isha. Sowmya insists that Adit despises Mangal. In response, Mangal argues back, stating that she has no interest in Adit and will talk to Kusum directly.
Mangal approaches Kusum, who is cooking, and tells her she knows Kusum’s intentions. Kusum assumes Shanti revealed the truth. Mangal reassures Kusum that while she appreciates her concern, she and Adit will never be together, and she disapproves of the room arrangement Kusum made. Kusum leaves, upset, and Mangal takes over the cooking. Outside the kitchen, Kusum is seen in tears and appears unwell. Adit notices and questions her silence. Suspecting Mangal might have upset her, Adit confronts Mangal, who denies saying anything hurtful. Despite his doubts, Adit leaves as Mangal decides to check on Kusum.
Mangal finds Kusum asleep, gently covers her with a blanket, and leaves. Later, when Kusum wakes up, Mangal checks on her health and apologizes if her words hurt her, but Kusum remains distant. The next day, Kusum gives Mangal a saree and informs her that it’s Makar Sankranti. She adds that Shanti and Lipika are coming over and asks Mangal to handle the arrangements. Mangal agrees but suspects Kusum’s mood swings are affecting her behavior.
Jia, sitting in her car, recalls recent events and questions if Gayatri is truly haunting Lakshmi. She overhears Raghuveer talking to a police officer about Gayatri’s death. The officer mentions finding a body under the cliff and asks Raghuveer to arrange for identification. Jia decides to visit the morgue herself. Sanjana, discovering kites and markers in the car trunk, asks Umesh about them. He explains the driver might have bought them for his kids, and Sanjana dismisses it.
At the morgue, Jia is horrified to see Gayatri’s body. The lights flicker, and Gayatri’s spirit appears, vowing not to leave Jia alone. Gayatri demands Jia confess her crime and free Karthik to give her soul peace. Jia agrees but escapes when Gayatri injures her foot. It’s revealed that Gayatri, Raghuveer, and Lakshmi are orchestrating the haunting to pressure Jia. Raghuveer plants a tracker in Jia’s watch when she drops it at the cliff.
Sanjana informs Jia’s mother about Lakshmi being haunted by Gayatri’s soul. Jia’s mother learns Jia plans to withdraw her complaint against Karthik and intervenes. Raghuveer, monitoring the situation through surveillance set up by a tea vendor, notices Jia’s mother stopping her. He and Lakshmi wonder who Jia’s mother is secretly contacting about removing Gayatri’s spirit.
