Mangal Lakshmi 16th November 2024 Written Episode Update
Adit comes home with Akshar, who is unconscious. Manga asks, “What happened to him?” Adit responds, “Stay away from my son.” Kusum and Mangal are shocked as they rush to the room. Adit repeats, “Stay away from my son.” Mangal says, “He’s my son. You can’t stop me from seeing him.” Akshar slowly opens his eyes. Mangal asks, “What happened?” He recalls everything and says, “I just want to sleep.” She presses him, “What happened?” Adit reassures him, “Don’t worry. Papa is here with you. You have an annual event at your school today. Do you want to go?” Akshar replies, “No. I just want to sleep.” He falls asleep. Mangal turns to Adit, asking, “What happened?” Adit accuses her, “You’re the enemy of your children. You’ll end up harming Akshar one day. He’s like this because of you.” He shows her a photo and says, “This is what she did.” Mangal’s photo was used in a donation drive for poor people, and Akshar was bullied by his friends. Mangal is shocked and asks, “How did this photo get into the school?” Adit says, “How low can you go? You’ve made a fool of us. He was ridiculed at school. People called him poor, and he fainted. All because of your selfishness.” He turns to her in disbelief, “What kind of mother are you?”
Soumya says, “I feel so bad for Akshar.” Adit responds, “I work hard so my children are respected, and then she goes and makes us a joke. She humiliated us.” Soumya tries to justify, saying, “I worked hard for money. What’s shameful about that?” Adit snaps, “You were a laborer! How can you justify this? Are you doing this on purpose? You must have sent those photos to get sympathy. How much did you make from the NGO?” Mangal, now upset, says, “I don’t need to answer you. I don’t care what you think of me. I’m only worried about Akshar. I’m going to him.” Adit warns her, “He doesn’t even want to see your face. He was bullied because of you.” Soumya remarks, “He must be traumatized. Kids tend to shut themselves off after such things.” Adit responds, “Stay away from him. It’s better for him.”
Lakshmi burns her hand and recalls what Gayatri had said. Karthik asks, “What did you do? Let me get some ice.” He scolds, “What were you thinking?” Lakshmi answers, “I saw Didi in the temple but couldn’t talk to her. How will I live without her?” Karthik says, “I understand. I feel bad too. Kusum is angry, and everyone is suffering. I don’t want you to get blamed for this. I’ll talk to Maa when she calms down.” Lakshmi replies, “Mangal needs me.” Karthik reassures her, “She’s strong. Don’t worry.”
Ishana asks Akshar, “Why are you not ready? We have a Children’s Day celebration.” He answers, “I don’t want to go.” Mangal says, “It’ll be so much fun. I’ve made lunch for you and your friends.” He replies, “I don’t feel like it. I’m not well. My stomach hurts.” Ishana insists, “He doesn’t want to go. He’s always excited for celebrations.”
Mangal goes to the school and overhears parents talking to the principal, saying, “We have a reputation. We sent our kids here because of your good name, not to have them study with the children of laborers. We have status.” Mangal enters and asks, “Why should I wait outside? My kids study here too. If all the mothers are here, why should I be outside? What sin have I committed? What sin has my son committed?” One mother responds, “If you do these things, kids will make fun of them.” Mangal retorts, “What? I worked hard! How is that a sin? Don’t all of you work too?” Another woman says, “We know you’re not in a good financial situation.” The principal chimes in, “We don’t give admissions to people from such backgrounds. You should get him into a government school.” Mangal asks, “Why? I pay the same fees as everyone else.” The principal responds, “We care about our reputation. We admit children based on the status of their parents.” Mangal challenges him, “So you teach kids discrimination here based on their parents’ money? Shouldn’t laborers be respected? You should be teaching them that earning with respect is more important than making wealth. No job is too small. Everyone deserves respect.” One woman says, “I don’t have time for this. I won’t educate my child here if this keeps happening.” Another woman agrees. The principal tells Mangal, “Either stop all this or take your child out of our school.”
Karthik gets ready for a shoot, and his manager says, “We need to revise our contract. The brief is different.” Karthik asks, “What’s the change?” The manager shows him a beach shoot with Jiya. She enters wearing a short dress and says, “Hi. How’s the brief? It’s a romantic album, so the cover needs to be hot and romantic. We’ve got great chemistry.” Karthik is taken aback and says, “What is all this? Enough is enough. I know what you’re trying to do. I won’t do this shoot. I’ll talk to the label about getting someone else for the cover.” Jiya responds, “Wait. Want to meet the head of the label? I’m the owner of this label.” Karthik is shocked and says, “What?”
Mangal overhears mothers talking outside, saying, “Thank God the principal made the right decision. If our kids study with laborers’ kids, how would this school maintain its class? It’s so embarrassing.” Mangal is heartbroken and says, “Akshar must be so hurt.” Mangal receives a call from Kirti regarding her order.
