The episode begins with Ranvijay stopping Jaya from noticing the sindoor mark on his t-shirt. She mentions that she was discarding old clothes and questions why he wants to keep it. She adds that it’s fine if it’s special to him. He replies, saying it’s alright. A lady arrives to collect the clothes. Everyone is busy cleaning the house, and Ranvijay watches from a distance. Vaiju is fixing the decorative lights when she stumbles. Ranvijay catches her in his arms. “Tu hai to mujhe phir aur kya chahiye…” plays in the background as she leaves. Vaiju then speaks to the scarecrow, expressing her lack of new clothes for Diwali. The lady hands over the t-shirt to Vaiju for the scarecrow. Gratefully, Vaiju dresses the scarecrow in Ranvijay’s t-shirt, declaring it looks like a hero.
Ranvijay overhears and smiles, pretending to act and talk like the scarecrow. Vaiju notices him and asks why he is speaking to her in that manner. He explains that she isn’t paying attention, asking her what kind of Diwali gift she desires. Vaiju responds that Jaya’s happiness is what she wants. The next morning, Vasundara informs Ranvijay about the rituals, stating that since he got married, he will observe this ritual from now on. He initially refuses, but when Vasundara asks Jaya if Ranvijay has agreed, he steps forward and says he is ready. Vaiju gives him an approving nod. Rao Sahab and Vasundara express their delight. Ranvijay recalls how Vaiju persuaded him to follow the rituals. As Jaya performs the rituals, she applies special oil to Ranvijay, who sits patiently. Jaya gazes at him, wondering how his mindset changed without her saying anything and who influenced him to come here.
Later, Jaya inquires how Ranvijay changed his mind. He replies that he considered his family, emphasizing their importance and the desire not to hurt anyone during Diwali. She wishes him a happy Diwali and presents him with a gift. He discovers it is their wedding gift, and she mentions it’s their best memory. She affixes their picture to the wall, and they share a smile. Vaiju expresses her happiness, saying she is relieved that Ranvijay has kept his promise to her, but she feels a bit tense. Ranvijay approaches and wishes her first, saying, “Happy Diwali.” She beams in response, and he requests her to look at him while she wishes him. She meets his gaze and wishes him, and they smile at each other. He apologizes for not being able to give her anything and asks her what he can do. She reassures him not to feel bad for her, expressing her contentment and stating that he has already given her so much, and she doesn’t want anything else.
