The episode begins with Vasundara expressing her desire for a Suhaagan puja, mentioning that they will host a bhoj for the factory workers. Ranvijay questions the necessity, citing the workload. Vaiju signals Ranvijay to agree for Jaya’s sake. Reluctantly, Ranvijay consents, signing to Vaiju. Jaya observes quietly.
The next morning, Ranvijay prepares for the day and asks Vaiju to get ready. Sulekha points out that the puja is meant for Suhaagans, not for Vaiju. Jaya appears, ready for the occasion, and Vaiju compliments her. They all proceed to perform the puja. Ranvijay notices Vaiju and feels a pang of sadness for her. He exits the room, prompting Jaya to inquire about his whereabouts. He mentions he had some important work. When she questions him about something in his pocket, she discovers a sindoor box. Jaya declares she doesn’t need it. Vaiju insists that a Suhaagan must have sindoor, while Vasundara agrees, saying Jaya should be happy that he is caring. Jaya wonders why Ranvijay isn’t saying anything. Vaiju appears disheartened.
Ranvijay approaches Vaiju, and she asks why he called her. He tells her he brought sindoor for her, acknowledging her belief in its significance. He hands the sindoor box to Vaiju, but she declines, stating she can’t keep it. He urges her to accept it for his sake. She insists it’s a significant day and encourages him to go downstairs where everyone is waiting, not wanting to complicate matters. He expresses his pain at seeing her without sindoor. Vaiju looks at the sindoor and smiles as Jaya applies it. Ranvijay contemplates Jaya’s ability to cope without him.
As everyone gets ready to head out, Ragini suggests they check the food arrangements. Vaiju assures that everything is set. Vasundara compliments Jaya, asking about Ranvijay’s whereabouts. Ranvijay arrives, smiling at Vaiju in her blue saree. Vasundara remarks that his wife looks beautiful today, to which Ranvijay agrees. As they leave, he wonders why Vaiju hasn’t applied the sindoor. Jaya calls out to him.
At the mill, Vasundara states that they have organized this puja for the happiness and peace of Ranvijay and Jaya, urging everyone to bless them. The manager announces that the pandit ji has arrived for the puja. Kaveri approaches Jaya and Vaiju, stating that she came against her will because Vasundara said the puja is for Ranvijay and Jaya’s happiness. Ranvijay interrupts, telling Kaveri to stop meddling in their personal affairs. Jaya urges him not to create a scene, but he insists he can’t forget her past behavior. Vasundara encourages both Ranvijay and Jaya to put their differences aside and focus on the puja. She leads Vaiju away to prepare the bhog. Ranvijay then approaches Vaiju, who turns away from him. He takes her hand, asking why she didn’t apply the sindoor. She replies that if anyone inquires, she wouldn’t know what to say. He suggests she could say she applied it in the name of the Lord or hide it under her hair. She tells him to release her hand, questioning what has come over him, noting that he doesn’t believe in such things. He responds that it is important to her, as she holds it dear. The manager interrupts, requesting the prasad plate from the pandit ji, and Vaiju departs. Ranvijay watches her leave.
