Maati Se Bandhi Dor 23rd January 2025 Written Update
The episode opens with Vasundara and Ragini feeling overwhelmed by guilt for not giving Vaiju the care and attention she deserved during her pregnancy. Sulekha steps in, attempting to comfort them, assuring them that they should not blame themselves for Vaiju’s loss. Meanwhile, Vaiju returns home alone, her eyes falling on Jaya, who is holding baby Vayu. She stands at a distance, quietly observing as everyone showers Vayu with affection, joyfully welcoming him and Jaya home.
Jaya calls Vaiju over and gently asks her to take Vayu in her arms. Vaiju hesitates, glancing painfully at Ranvijay, but eventually, she picks up Vayu and holds him with deep emotion. However, just moments later, Sulekha takes the baby from Vaiju, handing him back to Jaya, explaining that a baby cannot be kept away from a mother’s warmth for too long. Vaiju, deeply hurt, walks away without saying a word.
Ranvijay tells Sulekha to be more considerate of Vaiju’s feelings, given the pain she is already enduring. In her room, Vaiju sits surrounded by the baby clothes she had lovingly packed away, crying as she clutches them tightly. Her thoughts are consumed by Vayu, and she breaks down. Ranvijay enters and finds her in this state, trying to comfort her. But Vaiju lashes out, telling him that he doesn’t understand how vital a mother is to a baby and questioning how Vayu will survive without her.
Vaiju reminds Ranvijay that, although he is still Vayu’s father, he has replaced Vayu’s mother. She expresses her shattered dreams, explaining that every day of pregnancy is a battle that a mother wins when she finally holds her baby. She painfully admits that despite fighting her battle, she has lost. Ranvijay tries to reassure her, telling her she is still Vayu’s mother, but Vaiju accuses him of taking away her right to be called a mother. She declares that she cannot live in the same room as him. Ranvijay, heartbroken, offers to leave the room and stay elsewhere to give her space.
Later, Vaiju sits surrounded by baby toys and clothes, crying uncontrollably as she hugs them. That night, she hears Vayu crying loudly. Jaya tries to calm him, but the baby continues crying inconsolably. Vaiju struggles to remain distant but eventually rushes to Jaya’s side. Jaya, unable to soothe Vayu, hands him over to Vaiju. The moment Vaiju holds him and gently pats him, Vayu stops crying and falls asleep. The family gathers at the scene.
Sulekha comments on how unusual it is that the baby calmed in Vaiju’s arms when he couldn’t be consoled by his mother. Jaya, however, quickly takes the baby back, insisting that she can care for him.
The next day, eunuchs arrive at the house to celebrate the arrival of the new baby, dancing and singing with joy. Vaiju watches the celebrations from a distance, feeling like an outsider. Ranvijay, addressing the gathering, says that this baby is blessed with two mothers, just like Lord Krishna had. Vaiju feels a wave of despair, knowing she cannot openly reveal to everyone that she is Vayu’s real mother. The episode ends with Vaiju lost in her thoughts, her pain and longing visible on her face.
