The episode begins with Vaiju scolding Jaya. Jaya sits, tears streaming down her face. She finally speaks up, telling Vaiju that enough is enough. She asks how long she will live her life for others and reminds her that she needs to live for herself. She wipes her tears and tells her they need to move on. Ranvijay and her unfinished story will come to an end, and Kunal and hers will begin. Kunal is taken aback and says, “Yes.” He recalls a conversation with Jaya, where he agreed to act as her boyfriend. Kunal says that this is the best decision for all of them. Vaiju disagrees, stating that she can’t support them in this decision, and she storms off. Jaya stands firm, telling them that she won’t change her mind. She insists that she’s not wrong in her thinking and that Vaiju and Ranvijay should be together, but it’s time for her and Kunal to start their own path. Ranvijay says she’s his best friend and that they need to carefully consider this decision. He’s sure this is Kunal’s idea and that Jaya wasn’t like this before. Kunal reassures him, saying he’s wrong. Jaya asks Ranvijay to speak to Vaiju and convince her. He nods and leaves.
At home, Rao Sahab questions Ranvijay about calling the family together. Ranvijay explains that since they are family, he doesn’t want to hide anything from them. He tells them that their divorce date is tomorrow. Vasundara asks him why he’s doing this. Rao Sahab recalls how Ranvijay promised to never let their family break. Ranvijay assures them that he’s not breaking the family, but rather trying to make it stronger. He tells them to remove the hatred they have for Vaiju from their hearts. It’s not Vaiju’s fault; she’s actually trying to unite him and Jaya. But he and Jaya have decided to divorce because a relationship without love is pointless. He asks them to accept the truth. Vasundara walks away. Vaiju cries, stating that she loves Ranvijay deeply, and she knows he loves her too, but she doesn’t think this is the right thing to do. Mishra arrives and gives her the fees, expressing his pride in her for saving Vasundara’s life. He assures her that the attacker will be caught soon and that she must protect Vasundara at the oath ceremony. She agrees, thanking him for trusting her with such an important task. He wishes her the best for the future.
Rao Sahab brings medicines for Vasundara, but she refuses. She declares that a divorce has never occurred in their family, and she believes Ranvijay and Jaya can fix their mistakes. Ranvijay enters and announces that he’s ending the relationship; Jaya is waiting for him at the court. Vasundara insists that she can never bless him for this divorce. Vaiju watches in silence. Vasundara and Sulekha urge Ranvijay to bring Jaya back. Sulekha insults Vaiju in the process. Ranvijay responds, saying that he and Vaiju are meant to be together. Vasundara acknowledges that she had hoped Vaiju would be her daughter-in-law, but Jaya is already her bahu. She admits that she got angry with Jaya and made her leave, but the truth is Jaya is her bahu, and they will never accept Vaiju as such.
Ranvijay leaves. Vaiju hides her emotions. Rao Sahab consoles Vasundara, reminding her to take care as she needs to attend the oath ceremony the next day. Jaikant offers his support, saying he’ll stand by her as her son. Sulekha praises him. Vasundara expresses her worry about the family’s legacy, wondering what will happen if Ranvijay takes the throne after her service. Jaikant becomes angry, thinking that he will take the legacy if necessary. Kunal submits the papers to the judge, who asks Ranvijay and Jaya to reconsider their decision. Vaiju is visibly upset. Jaya, however, insists that they’ve made up their minds. Tears fall from her eyes as the song Tuta dil tuta plays in the background.
