Maati Se Bandhi Dor 18th October 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with Vasundara and Sulekha visiting Jaya. Jaya is surprised and asks, “You both here at this time?” Vasundara replies, “It’s your first Karwachauth, so we brought shagun for you.” Kaveri welcomes them inside. Aaji hands the Sargi to Vaiju, who questions why Aaji prepared all of it. Aaji explains, “Today is your first Karwachauth.” Vasundara encourages Jaya to eat the sargi, while Sulekha suggests celebrating together. Kaveri agrees but expresses concern, mentioning that Ranvijay hasn’t returned yet. “It’s alright, he will come today,” she reassures them and shares the good news of Jaya’s new job. Vasundara and Sulekha are pleased to hear this. Vasundara then urges Jaya to come home, but Jaya declines, saying, “I can’t come home when Ranvijay isn’t there.” Vasundara asks, “Don’t we matter to you? I’m your mother, stop this stubbornness and come home with me.” Jaya remains firm, “I will come when Ranvijay comes to take me home.”
Ranvijay is shown contemplating, thinking that Jaya should know whether he will be with her today or not. He decides to call her. Meanwhile, Vaiju thanks Aaji and advises her to rest. Aaji tells Vaiju to finish her meal and leaves. Jaya, in tears, wonders what has happened to Ranvijay as he continues to break his promises. Kaveri notices Jaya’s sadness and walks away. Ranvijay’s call comes through, and Jaya answers. He stays silent, so she says, “I miss you, are you coming today? Please, say yes.” He struggles with his response and finally says, “I will come back, but it will take some time, Jaya.” He then ends the call. When Jaya calls back, she finds his phone switched off. She reassures herself, “He loves me a lot; he will come back.” Ranvijay, feeling conflicted, decides he needs to confess something to Vaiju before he can return home with a clear conscience.
The next morning, Vaiju brings him breakfast. She urges him to eat and get ready. With tears in her eyes, she pleads with him to go back to Jaya. He instead asks her to eat. She admits, “I can’t eat.” He asks, “Why, did you keep the Karwachauth fast? Tell me, how will you break the fast without me? What will you say to everyone?” Vaiju responds, “I will manage somehow. I can live my entire life with your memories, you should go now. Aaji will worry if she sees you leaving. Please, eat.” He reminds her, “It’s my first Karwachauth too.” He then picks up his bag and tells her, “Do me a favor, don’t come outside to see me off. It’s hard for me to leave loved ones behind. Promise me you’ll take care, and call if you need anything. Focus on your exams.” They exchange a tearful smile before he leaves. The song “Jag soona soona…” plays as he turns to look back at her. She collapses in tears. He hesitates, thinking, “Maybe I should tell her that our relationship matters to me.” He rushes back towards her.
Aaji arrives and asks, “Are you leaving?” Vaiju says, “He’s going; he has a lot of work there.” Aaji replies, “But it’s Karwachauth today.” Vaiju responds, “There’s no need.” Ranvijay offers, “I will stay if Aaji insists; I can leave later.” Aaji says, “Ranvijay wouldn’t leave you like this.” Vaiju looks worried. Meanwhile, Vasundara and Sulekha are busy with the preparations. Sulekha comments, “Jaya didn’t come because Ranvijay isn’t here.” Rao Sahab agrees, “He should have been here.” He then instructs Naagraj not to defend Ranvijay, adding, “He lied to us, and we don’t know why.” Ranvijay reflects on his decision to stay back, thinking, “Why did I stay? I should have been with Jaya today.”
