Kumkum Bhagya 24th September 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with RV asserting that Poorvi holds a special place in his life and no one has the right to tell him to cut ties with her. He turns to Nethra, asking if she has any issue with him maintaining his friendship with Poorvi. Nethra, caught off guard, responds, “What problem could I have?” Poorvi, about to say something, notices Vishaka and Khushi arriving. She excuses herself and approaches them, asking why they didn’t come inside. Vishaka, clearly upset, says, “Why would we? You don’t seem to care about yourself or our family anymore.” Khushi chimes in, asking how Poorvi could allow RV to marry someone else.
Khushi continues, “How can you stand there and let your husband marry another woman?” Poorvi tries to explain, “Di, I…” but Khushi cuts her off, “Since you married RV, it feels like you’ve forgotten about us, like we don’t matter anymore. Why are you ruining your own life?” Poorvi, filled with guilt, apologizes, “I’m really sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused you.” Khushi, still upset, says, “You have no idea what you’re doing with your life.”
Meanwhile, Harman tells Harleen to calm down, but Harleen, visibly angry, declares, “I can’t stand Poorvi and her family anymore!” Harman admits it’s his fault for the situation, but Harleen is resolute, saying the feeling is mutual on both sides. Dadi adds that they’ve had enough of this drama and want some peace. Vikrant announces that Juhi has arrived at the airport, and he heads out to pick her up.
Elsewhere, Sahil is on the phone with Jassi, pushing him to hurry up with the money. Jassi complains that he needs more time to arrange it, but Sahil sternly gives him only 27 minutes to arrive. Monisha overhears and asks what’s happening. Neha reveals that they’ve demanded 40 lakhs from Jassi, threatening to leave the sangeet if they don’t get the money. Monisha is shocked, “This is blackmail!” but Neha stands firm, insisting they need the money.
Khushi confronts Poorvi again, “Why do you only care about RV?” Vishaka, equally frustrated, asks, “Isn’t there any legal way to help RV?” Poorvi, her voice soft, responds, “There’s no law that can help him now. All the evidence is stacked against him.” She explains that in most cases, it’s the man who’s at fault, but RV is part of the rare minority where he’s not. Poorvi continues, “I can’t let RV suffer; the day he spent in jail was unbearable for me. He couldn’t even eat, and the way the police treated him… I can’t watch him go through that again.” She adds, “I’m his wife, his Ardhangini. This isn’t just my duty—it’s my responsibility to protect him.”
Khushi, still emotional, says, “I thought distancing myself from you might make you see sense, but it seems like you don’t care about anything else anymore.” Poorvi, trying to hold back tears, replies, “It’s not like that. Nothing is in my control.” Vishaka argues, “Everything is still in your hands! You can stop the sangeet.” Poorvi shakes her head, explaining that if she stops the wedding, people will think poorly of RV and his family. Vishaka pleads with her, “But they’ll think you’re in the right!” Poorvi retorts, “I don’t care about what society says. I’m doing this for RV. If marrying Nethra will make things better, then so be it. Maybe her truth will come out.”
Khushi, disheartened, tells Vishaka, “There’s no point in trying to talk sense into her.” They leave, but not before Vishaka tells Diya to follow. Poorvi, feeling broken, hugs Diya and cries, “I’ve failed as a daughter, a daughter-in-law, but I have to do this to save RV.” RV, overhearing everything, becomes emotional.
RV feels a deep sense of guilt, realizing how much Poorvi cares for him. “She’s gone against her family for me, and here I am, doubting her,” he thinks to himself. He decides, “I don’t deserve her, but I’ll make myself worthy. I’ll change, not for me, but for her. She’s suffered enough because of me, and I won’t let her suffer anymore. I know exactly what I need to do.”
