Kumkum Bhagya 20th September 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Monisha entering and questioning what is happening. Neha turns to her and sarcastically asks if she’s part of the family, before reminding her that she’s Deepika Bhabhi’s sister who frequently visits. Neha continues, saying Monisha works with RV in the office, so she should stick to handling office work. Then, turning to Poorvi, Neha orders her to manage the wedding catering with the chef, assuring that everything will be perfect.
RV, annoyed by Neha’s behavior, asks her if she’s done and demands to know why she’s there, questioning the purpose of this drama. He asks how she even got inside. Neha replies nonchalantly, saying she walked in through the door and the “servant” in the kitchen let her in. Poorvi immediately corrects her, pointing out that he is their chef, Mohan, not a servant. Neha dismisses this, saying she had to remind him that she’s the new “Choti malkin” of the house and that he should greet her with respect.
Poorvi, calm but firm, says that respect is earned, not demanded, and explains that they don’t treat anyone as servants; they are helpers who make their lives easier and are part of the family. Neha retorts, saying her future husband pays them for their services, so they are servants, and insists it’s fine to be called boss, but not Malik or Malkin. She tells Poorvi not to lecture her, saying everything she does is for the respect of RV and the family.
Neha then declares that today is the sangeet, adding that she doesn’t want to ruin her glow before the big day. Harleen, Vaishali, and the others are left shocked by her boldness.
Neha continues, explaining that there are only nine days left until the wedding, so the sangeet must happen today. She assigns Poorvi to handle the catering for all the wedding functions and tells RV that he’s free to return to the office. Vaishali, surprised by Neha’s eagerness, comments on how eager she is for the marriage. Neha explains that she’ll be gone for seven days to fetch her parents and insists that they all manage their responsibilities in her absence. She assures them that she will take care of the sangeet decorations. With that, everyone leaves, and Monisha takes Neha aside.
Harleen, worried, expresses her concerns to RV, calling Neha crazy and manipulative. She remarks that Neha lacks values and respect for elders, suggesting that perhaps she didn’t grow up with guidance from her elders. Harleen is particularly troubled by Neha’s brazen declaration of the sangeet.
Monisha then questions Neha’s earlier claim about being away for seven days, urging her not to leave, as it would diminish the fear others have of her. Neha, irritated by Monisha’s tone, reminds her that she doesn’t appreciate her attitude and has already told her multiple times to speak with more respect. Neha asserts that without her, Monisha’s plans wouldn’t succeed, and she made that statement to ensure the sangeet happens quickly, bringing them closer to the wedding.
Meanwhile, Harleen vents her frustration to RV and the family, blaming Poorvi for everything that has happened. She believes that if Poorvi hadn’t suggested Neha as a potential bride, none of this would be happening. Harman and Vikrant return from their jog, surprised by the decorations. Harleen explains that Neha took it upon herself to bring in decorators and declare today the sangeet, all because of Poorvi.
Feeling guilty, Poorvi agrees with Harleen, blaming herself for the chaos. She insists that they need to prepare for the sangeet and that she’ll figure out what to do next.
Harman consoles Harleen, encouraging her not to give up. Vikrant expresses disbelief that someone like Neha is able to manipulate and blackmail so many people using the law. Yug, observing the situation, mentions that he never liked Neha from the beginning. Noticing Diya, Yug gets excited and rushes off, leaving Vikrant puzzled by his reaction. Harleen reflects on how RV’s marriages have always been problematic, first with Poorvi, who he married to save Khushi, and now this forced marriage with Neha, which has left no one happy. Harman advises her to trust in God, hoping that things will eventually work out.
Later, Harman speaks with RV, telling him that his mother is deeply concerned. RV, feeling cornered, expresses his frustration, saying he wishes he could get rid of Neha. Harman admits that they feel powerless to change anything. Monisha then arrives and tells RV that she wishes she could scold Poorvi the way Harleen does, but she can’t. RV defends Poorvi, saying none of this is her fault. Monisha, however, insists it is Poorvi’s fault, arguing that Poorvi never should have promised Neha marriage without consulting anyone.
Deepika, sensing something amiss, confronts Monisha, asking why she’s smirking. Monisha reveals her plan to turn the family against Poorvi, and she gleefully tells Deepika to wait and see how things unfold. Monisha then calls Neha, who confidently says she’ll make a grand entrance at the sangeet.
