Jhanak 5th October 2024 Written Episode
The episode begins with Choton pleading with Aditya to let Jhanak go. Jhanak leaves in the car. Choton calls Shubh. Shubh scolds him for not answering earlier. Choton explains he had no time. Shubh demands to know where Anirudh is and why he didn’t reach the hospital. Choton responds that Anirudh is already in the hospital. Shubh, not believing him, angrily retorts, “Shut up! Don’t lie. We won’t believe you. This is your doing. Why didn’t Anirudh board the flight? Arshi came here and told us everything, and she’s left the house forever. Are you satisfied now?” Lal adds that Choton is ruining Anirudh’s life. Bipasha agrees, accusing him of taking commissions from Jhanak. Anjana intervenes, warning Bipasha not to make such bold accusations. Choton, visibly upset, says, “I’m hearing a lot, but it was my duty to inform you. Anirudh is on life support, and the operation is risky. If you think I’m lying, then don’t come.” Shubh is shaken. Choton continues, “Come quickly if you believe me. You’re his father, and he needs you. I’m here with him.” Shubh, worried, ends the call.
Tanuja asks Shubh what Choton said. Shubh reveals that Anirudh had a heart attack, shocking everyone.
Anjana sarcastically asks if this is part of some plan. She continues, “It’s good he was here when it happened. If he had been on the flight, what could we have done?” Meanwhile, Jhanak arrives at the temple, distraught. She tells the priest, “My husband is critical. I beg you, please help me. Pray for him and do a puja for his recovery.” She shares her situation with the priest, who responds that there’s a long line for the puja. Jhanak pleads, “My husband is between life and death. I don’t believe the doctor’s words. Anirudh can’t leave me; we have so many unspoken words.”
Back at home, Bipasha asks again what Choton said. Shubh reiterates, “He mentioned a 90% heart blockage. The doctor is hesitant to operate, and Anirudh is on life support.” Lal and Bipasha are in disbelief. Shubh, however, insists that he trusts Choton, as he wouldn’t lie about Anirudh’s condition. Tanuja demands to be taken to the hospital. Anjana scolds her, remarking that it’s a good thing their mother isn’t alive to witness this, as she wouldn’t have been able to bear it. Lal tells them to hurry. Bipasha decides to call Arshi, but Tanuja blames Jhanak for everything. Anjana intervenes, defending Jhanak. Tanuja, infuriated, warns Anjana not to take Jhanak’s name again. Shubh stops the argument, reminding them that they are at risk of losing everything. He urges them all to go to the hospital immediately.
At the temple, Jhanak continues to plead with the priest. She tearfully tells him that she doesn’t have the money to buy the necessary puja items. The priest suggests borrowing the money. Jhanak offers her jewelry in exchange, saying, “Please take it. I need to do this puja for my husband.” A kind man nearby offers to help, telling her, “There’s no need to give the jewelry. I’ll get the puja items, and you can pay me later.” Grateful, Jhanak asks the priest to begin the puja as soon as the items arrive. The priest refuses, explaining that others are also waiting. At home, Dadi, Dadu, and Anjana pray and cry. The priest eventually asks Jhanak to sing a bhajan for Maa. She agrees, saying, “You’re right. I don’t have much to offer to Matarani, but I’ll give her everything I have.”
Back at home, Dadi laments, “What can we do by going to the hospital? The doctors have lost hope.” She breaks down in tears. Anjana reflects, saying she feels guilty for not recognizing Anirudh’s pain earlier. She recalls how he always supported the family, especially Appu. Anjana also criticizes Arshi for abandoning Anirudh when he needed her most. Dadi reassures her, “I’m sure they will go to the hospital.” Anjana, still skeptical, questions the purpose now that things have reached this point. Dadi remains hopeful but admits the operation is risky.
In the temple, Jhanak starts singing a bhajan and imagines a beautiful moment with Anirudh, dancing alongside him. Lost in the moment, she faints. The priest rushes to get water to revive her. Back at home, Anjana accuses Arshi of lacking love and trust in Anirudh, which led her to abandon him. Dadu remarks, “I’m old now. Who will listen to me? There are sins in this house, and that’s why we’re suffering.” This shocks Anjana, who asks what sins he’s talking about. Dadu explains, “Anirudh hasn’t committed any sins, but Shubh has. His greed and the pain he’s caused others for money are not small sins.” Dadi, shaken, begs him to stop. Dadu continues, saying that children often bear the punishment for their parents’ misdeeds. Anjana insists that Anirudh shouldn’t be punished for Shubh’s actions. Dadu believes that Shubh may finally realize his mistakes now. Both Dadi and Anjana tearfully pray for Anirudh.
At the hospital, Shubh arrives and anxiously asks about Anirudh’s condition. Choton replies, “I told you on the phone. I’ve been handling everything alone here. Arshi and Shrishti didn’t trust Anirudh and left him stranded.” Bipasha attempts to defend them, but Choton interjects, “I understand, which is why I managed things alone.” Tanuja reminds Choton that Anirudh has always done a lot for him. Choton emotionally responds, “I’d give my life for him.” At that moment, Aditya arrives. Choton confronts him, “Where have you been? You’re so late. You didn’t care for him, and you didn’t believe me.” Shubh, frustrated, tells Choton to stop and demands to know about Anirudh’s current condition. Aditya, surprised by the family’s behavior, remarks, “Your son’s condition is critical, and yet you all seem so calm. It’s strange.” Tanuja confronts him, asking why he’s here and where Jhanak is, as they’d heard they were living together. Aditya deflects, sarcastically responding, “I wish. Anyway, you should go talk to the doctor about your son.” Choton adds that Anirudh’s friends are also present. Tanuja asks if it’s possible to shift Anirudh to a bigger hospital. Shubh acknowledges the possibility but cautions that they need to assess his current condition first. Bablu arrives and desperately asks to see Anirudh. Shubh tries to calm him down.
Aditya intervenes, advising them not to shift Anirudh just yet, as it could be risky. He asks, “If something goes wrong during the transfer, can you handle it?” Shubh firmly responds, “I can handle my son’s situation.” Choton, emotionally charged, asks, “Have any of you ever tried to understand what his heart truly wanted? No, you haven’t.”
Meanwhile, at the temple, the priest, noticing Jhanak’s distress, remarks that she’s deeply worried about her husband. He sprinkles water on her face, and she regains consciousness. Jhanak, determined, tells him, “Yes, I’m fine, but my husband is sick, and I must do this puja. I need to take the flower to him.” The other people at the temple kindly ask the priest to prioritize Jhanak’s puja. Jhanak gratefully thanks them.
The man who had offered to help returns with the puja items. The priest begins the puja, and Jhanak prays earnestly for Anirudh’s recovery. The priest blesses her and says, “You didn’t connect his name to yours, but his name is yours now.” Jhanak, with tears in her eyes, responds, “My name… Jhanak Bose.”
