Aniruddha vehemently refuses to accept Jhanak’s child, accusing her of trying to trap him. He insults Jhanak, accusing her of disrupting his mental peace and stability. As memories of their time together in Kashmir flash through his mind, Aniruddha struggles to recall the details and begins to believe that Jhanak and Aditya are conspiring against him to defame him.
Jhanak, undeterred, reminds Aniruddha of how she followed every instruction he gave, even going so far as to decline her own marriage. But now, she is determined to fight for her baby. She recalls how, in the past, she often accepted defeat and continued with her life, but this time is different. She remembers how her mother, defeated by society, attempted suicide, and vows that she won’t let the same fate befall her child. She is resolved to find justice for herself and her baby.
Jhanak again reminds Aniruddha of the night in Kashmir when he became ill and dragged her to his bed. Aniruddha, enraged, doubts her story and suspects that the child might belong to Aditya. He accuses Jhanak of using the situation to trap him because she has no other support.
In a fit of anger, Jhanak challenges Aniruddha, declaring that despite knowing the potential consequences, she is ready to fight for her rights and the justice of her child. She asserts that she will seek legal help if necessary and will go to any lengths to ensure her child gets justice, including revealing the father’s identity. Aniruddha is taken aback by Jhanak’s confidence. He questions why she didn’t resist when he was pulling her towards him that night. Jhanak, becoming emotional, explains that she had deep feelings for Aniruddha and couldn’t control herself at that moment.
Later, Jhanak, Anjana, and Chhoton visit Mrinalini’s home to invite her to Appu’s wedding. Although Mrinalini welcomes Jhanak and Anjana warmly, she pointedly ignores Chhoton, still harboring a grudge against him for a past insult. Sensing the tension, Jhanak intervenes and tries to mediate the conflict between Chhoton and Mrinalini.
Once the situation is settled, Anjana and Jhanak explain the difficult circumstances at their home. Appu is determined to celebrate all the traditional rituals at her wedding. Anjana humbly requests Mrinalini to allow them to hold the rituals at her house. Mrinalini, excited by the idea, eagerly agrees and even offers to contribute financially, using the money she had set aside for herself.
Meanwhile, Shubha and Lal visit the police station to seek assistance. They explain to the police how Lalan deceived Appu and manipulated her into marrying him. The police assure them that they will arrest Lalan before the wedding ceremony can take place. Shubha and Lal are advised to pretend that they have accepted the relationship and will support the couple to avoid suspicion until the police can take action.
