Jhanak 22nd November 2024 Written Episode
The episode begins with Debashish stating that Shrishti lied and abandoned Brij, believing she would return. However, Urvashi knew that wouldn’t happen. She had a deep respect for Brij and began taking care of Jhanak. Then Kul entered the picture. Shrishti and Kul conspired to remove Brij from their lives. Brij was saved by his doctor friend, who placed him in an ashram. Urvashi and Brij shared an emotional bond, but she couldn’t tell the difference between the real and the fake Brij. She asked the fake Brij to take responsibility for Jhanak, but he insulted her. Despite this, she never revealed his truth to anyone, not wanting to break Shrishti’s family. Eventually, Urvashi took her own life, leaving a weapon in Jhanak’s hands, which still remains. Debashish says he would like Anirudh to come to the witness box. Shubh protests, claiming Debashish is fabricating stories, but counters by saying he has proof. He recalls how Arshi and Anirudh’s marriage was arranged, and they went to Srinagar where they met Jhanak. Urvashi had known Anirudh was a good man and had instructed Jhanak to trap him. Debashish objects, saying such language shouldn’t be used against his client. Shubh maintains that it was his duty to tell the truth, revealing how Jhanak came to live with their family and tried to cause friction between Arshi and Anirudh. Today, Arshi and Anirudh are living happily together. Debashish insists he would like to present evidence, and wants Anirudh in the witness box, which the judge permits. Anirudh takes the stand.
Debashish asks Anirudh if he has Urvashi’s letter. Anirudh confirms he does, and hands it over to the court. Debashish proceeds to ask him about the contents of the letter. Anirudh recounts Urvashi’s words, and Debashish requests that Jhanak read the letter aloud in court. Jhanak reads it and becomes emotional. The letter says: “Your dad is a big successful man, but if he had a heart, he would have accepted you. He never tried to accept you, and the world knows him as Guru ji. He used me and left me alone, refusing to acknowledge our relationship. I want you to meet him and ask him why he didn’t take responsibility for you. Your birth wasn’t a mistake, and I’m not wrong. I just fell in love and married, but it was my mistake to trust him. You need to become a better person and have the courage to fulfill your dreams. I’m sorry I left you, but now you are free from this life of insult.”
Shubh laughs, and the judge asks why. Shubh explains that he couldn’t hold back his laughter. He believes Urvashi, a weak person, committed suicide as a means of revenge against Brij and Shrishti. He points out that while she mentions Brij by name, she never once mentions Shrishti. He concludes that Urvashi was unable to stand up for herself. The judge rules that the letter cannot be accepted as evidence. Shrishti smiles in relief. Debashish argues that no one would lie before taking their life, pointing out that Urvashi had raised Jhanak as her own. The judge maintains that decisions are based on proof, and this letter doesn’t qualify.
Debashish thanks the judge and praises Anirudh for his bravery in speaking out against his father. He tells him that the truth will eventually be revealed. Anirudh sits back down. Debashish asks to call Pandit Brijbhushan to the witness box. Kul also rises. Debashish clarifies he’s calling the real Brijbhushan, Jhanak’s father. Shubh counters that the judge will decide who is real and who is fake. Debashish responds, reminding Shubh to speak with respect as his senior, recalling how he insulted Urvashi and Jhanak earlier. Shubh asks permission to question Brij first, which the judge grants.
Shubh questions Brij, asking if he can prove he’s the real Brij. Brij responds that they are twin brothers, so they look alike, but Kul used his name to live a good life. He asserts that his existence was erased in front of the world long ago. Shubh demands proof, and Brij offers a document—Kulbhushan’s passport copy—proving that Kul was in America during that time. Shubh remains unconvinced, stating that this doesn’t prove Brij’s identity. Brij insists that he’s telling the truth. Debashish rises to challenge Shubh, suggesting a dance competition between Brij and Kul to identify their differences. He quickly drops the idea, opting instead to ask Brij more questions.
Debashish asks Brij how Jhanak is related to Shrishti and whether he can prove Shrishti gave birth to Jhanak. Brij confirms that doctors conducted tests. Shubh demands to see the reports. Brij responds that it’s Shrishti’s responsibility to keep the documents. Shubh accuses him of blaming her, but Brij stands by his statement.
Debashish then asks if Brij has any documentation to prove Shrishti’s pregnancy. Brij confirms he has records from the nursing home where Jhanak was born and hands over the documents. Debashish thanks him and requests the doctor who oversaw Shrishti’s care at the time. Dr. Ranbir Solanki enters, and Debashish asks if the signature on the documents is his. The doctor confirms it is. Shubh questions whether the doctor treated Shrishti at the nursing home. The doctor confirms Shrishti Raina was his patient. Debashish points out that Shrishti had been married to Vinayak at the time, yet used her maiden name, Raina, on the document.
The judge asks where the doctor works now. He answers at the same nursing home. The judge asks if he has documents to prove Shrishti was admitted to the hospital. The doctor confirms he has the files, showing the admission form with Brij’s signature, as well as the discharge receipt. Shubh dismisses this as irrelevant. Debashish counters that if Kul signed the documents, it means Kul must take responsibility for Jhanak. He challenges Kul to explain why he didn’t take responsibility for her earlier.
