Jhanak 21st November 2024 Written Episode
The episode starts with Shubh asking Debashish to take a seat. He says Shrishti and Urvashi were sisters, cousins by blood. Shrishti came from a reputed family, a talented dancer who didn’t need an introduction. She moved to Delhi and enrolled in a dance academy. Urvashi’s parents had passed away in an accident, and she began living with her uncle’s family. She grew up alongside Shrishti and wanted to follow in her footsteps, even enrolling in the academy with her. Jhanak interrupts, saying, “I object.” She adds that Urvashi was a talented dancer, and he doesn’t know anything about her mother. “I spent years with her, and it’s better not to comment on someone’s character,” she says, defending Urvashi and insulting Shubh and the court. Debashish asks, “How does Shubh know this?” Shubh replies, “It’s circumstantial evidence,” and taunts Jhanak. Anirudh objects, asserting that every person has the right to speak, and defends Urvashi and Jhanak.
Shubh continues, saying Shrishti and Urvashi took training from Brij. Shrishti pursued dance, while Urvashi became attracted to him and began developing a close relationship with their guru. Anuradha explains the situation to Appu. Kajal enters, asking about Lalon. Anuradha inquires about the matter, and Kajal expresses her worries. “I’m in a big problem, but I’ll leave now,” Kajal says. Appu asks if she is referring to her ex-boyfriend. Anuradha asks what’s going on, and Appu fills her in.
Anuradha presses Kajal to tell her the truth, and Kajal admits, “I’ll tell you later.” Anuradha instructs Jhimli to call Lalon and have him speak with Appu. Jhimli takes Appu with her. Shubh says that after Shrishti returned to Srinagar, she met Vinayak, and they got married and had a daughter named Arshi. Shrishti decided to make dance her profession and sought further training from Brij. She was shocked to find Urvashi living with Brij as husband and wife. Jhanak interrupts, saying, “It’s a lie,” and asks if Shubh has proof. The judge orders them not to interrupt.
Debashish encourages Shubh to continue. Shubh claims that he hasn’t witnessed such misconduct. Debashish challenges him, asking, “Can you prove this?” Shubh responds confidently, “Of course, and you will have to provide evidence if you reject mine.” Debashish agrees to present his evidence.
Anuradha presses Kajal to reveal why she held Lalon’s hand. Kajal explains that Tappan, her former boyfriend whom Lalon sent to jail, has now been freed and wants to be with her. She wants Lalon’s help to escape the situation. Anuradha asks why she is scared, and Kajal reveals that Lalon had threatened her, as he has ties with the commissioner. Anuradha then pushes her to admit she once wanted to marry Lalon. Appu overhears the conversation, and Kajal denies it. Anuradha reads Kajal’s face, saying, “I can see sadness; you had a friendship with Lalon.” Kajal admits to it but insists she didn’t want to marry him. Anuradha advises her to be honest with her feelings. Appu starts crying, and Jhimli notices that Lalon messaged saying the case is ongoing. She wonders why Appu is crying, but Appu insists it’s nothing, only that she misses Jhanak. Anuradha becomes concerned, and Kajal leaves.
Shubh resumes his statement, saying Shrishti informed her family about Urvashi’s secret, and they later learned that Urvashi had given birth to a girl, Jhanak. However, Urvashi and her husband had marital problems, and she returned to Srinagar, where Brij refused to accept the baby. Jhanak was declared dead, and no one knew how she had survived. Shubh claims that Shrishti only has one daughter, Arshi. Anirudh holds Jhanak’s hand, and Debashish says he wants to respond to Shubh. The judge calls for a 10-minute break. Choton is worried, but Mrinalini reassures him, claiming that Shubh is misleading the court. Lalon arrives and talks about Brij and Jhanak’s worries, with Debashish yet to present anything. Choton asks about the future of the case, and Lalon expresses his desire for Jhanak to reclaim her rights, stating that he knows Shubh well. Mrinalini heads out, and Bipasha informs that Arshi has arrived, unsure if she’ll speak. Tanuja expresses shame, and Lal praises Shubh, claiming Shrishti will win. Tanuja and Bipasha agree. Arshi enters, and Tanuja apologizes. Arshi asks why she was summoned, and Bipasha tells her it’s a matter of hours before the court decision is out and they’ll be rid of Jhanak. Arshi disagrees and says this will not happen. Tanuja says she will speak to Shubh and disown Anirudh, but Arshi insists on proving her mother’s innocence. Bipasha reassures Arshi, saying, “Cheer up.” Arshi leaves in frustration, and Bipasha notes that Shubh will help Shrishti.
The court session resumes. Debashish argues that Urvashi hid the truth from Jhanak. He compares the two women, Shrishti and Urvashi, stating that Urvashi had always known Shrishti’s secrets. Though Urvashi fought for Jhanak, she was emotionally weak and couldn’t reveal that Shrishti was her real mother. She had raised Jhanak as her own and protected her from criticism, but endured much herself. He introduces the Pandit Brijbhushan story, revealing that Brij and Kul are twin brothers present in the court. He claims that Shrishti hired fake Brij to make the real Brij disappear and says he has proof. Shubh mocks him, claiming it sounds like a third-rate movie script. Debashish insists he has evidence. The judge asks how he intends to prove this, and Debashish says he has a key witness. He continues the story, stating that Brij loved Shrishti and wanted to marry her, but she convinced him that marriage was unnecessary. However, she later married Vinayak but kept it a secret. Shrishti decided to return to Brij, only to find Urvashi there. Shubh hid the truth about Shrishti’s marriage. Shrishti had told Brij that she would stay with him, but secretly, she had another child — Jhanak. She kept this secret from Vinayak and gave birth to Jhanak.
