Jhanak 20th November 2024 Written Episode
The episode begins with Shrishti asking Shubh for his help. She inquires about his fees, to which he replies that he won’t charge her any fees, as they are relatives. She insists that he must take something, even if it’s her jewelry or assets. He stops her, saying he doesn’t charge family or friends, and since her daughter is his bahu, he will handle everything. He assures her that he will make Anirudh understand Jhanak’s truth. Shrishti agrees, saying she wants Anirudh and Arshi to start a new life. She adds that she will reveal to the world that Jhanak is greedy and incapable of facing Anirudh in court. When Jhanak’s truth is exposed, Anirudh will realize it. Shrishti says Anirudh should hate Jhanak. Shubh confirms he will expose her soon and assures Shrishti not to worry. Shrishti nods and leaves.
Choton asks Mrinalini to come home, but she hesitates, unsure of how to tell them she wants to marry now. He jokingly says she has to give her consent, or he might resort to kidnapping. She says it’s not the right time to discuss their marriage. Choton responds by saying that, whether Jhanak stays in their house or not, she’s alive, and that’s good. Mrinalini agrees, but mentions that Jhanak’s life is different from Anirudh’s, and she’s uncertain whether they will reconcile. Choton says that Bablu and Anjana consider Jhanak their daughter, and they all love her. Mrinalini continues, saying that everyone has a past, and if it stays in front of you, it can prevent happiness. Arshi won’t let Jhanak live in peace, and it’s understandable why Arshi wouldn’t want to leave Anirudh. Choton defends Jhanak, stating that she has a pure heart, which is why everyone loves her. However, Mrinalini doubts that Anirudh and Jhanak’s lives will ever align. He says anything can happen if Lord wills. She agrees but adds that they can’t force anyone. They briefly discuss the court hearing before Choton changes the topic to their marriage. He says he wants to marry her soon. She laughs and asks what he wants to do. He says he wants to marry her now that they’ve met and liked each other. He holds her hand and says she must spend her life with him, as she liked him, so she will have to tolerate him. They both smile, and Choton announces their marriage to the people, inviting everyone to join. He gives her a rose and asks if she will marry him. She smiles and takes the rose. They hold hands and leave together.
The next morning, Shrishti and her family arrive at the court, hearing taunts from onlookers. Shubh tells Shrishti to ignore them. Anirudh, Jhanak, and Brij arrive next, while Arshi watches from a distance. The lawyer reassures Brij and Jhanak not to worry. Meanwhile, the ladies gossip about Anirudh, Arshi, and Jhanak. Arshi approaches Anirudh and scolds him for supporting Jhanak. Anirudh calmly says he will stand by Jhanak in this battle. Arshi then turns to Jhanak, scolding her.
Jhanak retorts, saying Anirudh supports the truth, and that’s what makes him a great person. Arshi tells her to shut up, but Jhanak snaps back, saying she’s no longer the helpless Jhanak. Times have changed, and Arshi should stop trying to demean her. Shrishti gets upset and tells Arshi to mind her manners. Anirudh comments on Arshi’s behavior, and Arshi asks who Jhanak thinks she is to speak to them this way. Bipasha interrupts, saying they don’t care about the matter at hand. Anirudh asks why they’re even here if they don’t care. Tanuja explains they came to support Shrishti, and Brij scolds them for speaking out of turn. Shrishti argues with Brij, and Arshi continues to taunt Jhanak.
Jhanak stands her ground, saying she has the courage to answer Arshi. She mocks Shrishti, saying she doesn’t run after Anirudh or try to trap him, unlike what Shrishti seems to be doing with her family. Arshi responds sarcastically, impressed by Jhanak’s newfound courage. Brij steps in, defending Jhanak, saying Shrishti is afraid of Jhanak’s talent. He and Jhanak enter the court, while Tanuja tries to stop Anirudh. Shrishti questions Anirudh why he prevented Arshi from leaving his house earlier. Anirudh replies that he is with Jhanak in this fight, as she is his ally, not Arshi. He walks away.
Back at home, Appu thinks about Kajal and wonders if Shrishti has been punished. She decides to go to the court and surprise Jhanak. Anuradha and Jhimli arrive, and Appu assures them she wasn’t planning to run away. She tells Anuradha to take care and head to court.
The court hearing begins with Shubh and Depashish presenting the case. Depashish states that this case is complex and unique, with two girls from the same family involved. Shubh interrupts, stating that in court, only the truth matters, not logic. Depashish asks Shubh to say the names, and Shubh obliges.
