Jhanak 17th September 2024 Written Episode

The Episode starts with Aditya asking the doctor if the tests have been done. The doctor replies that Jhanak isn’t pregnant, but rather has a tumor in her body. Aditya is shocked. The doctor explains that it’s a large tumor and cannot be ignored; they need to operate immediately. Aditya asks the doctor to ensure she gets the best possible treatment. The doctor assures him that they will operate tomorrow after conducting a few more tests, but she needs someone to sign the bond. Aditya says he can sign it since Jhanak is alone, her mother passed away, and her life is too important—she’s just signed a film too. The doctor says once Jhanak recovers, she can go back to her normal routine. Aditya reassures the doctor that he trusts her but asks if he can meet Jhanak. The doctor nods, saying she’s already informed Jhanak about the situation.

Jhanak, meanwhile, reflects that Anirudh has been spared from suffering, but she feels the need to share her reality with him, out of respect for their past marriage. Meanwhile, Anirudh is in his room, talking to Arshi. Arshi starts arguing with him, bringing up Jhanak once again. She compares their life to her friends’, who have seemingly smooth marriages, and blames their problems on Anirudh, stating that everything has been his fault from day one. She tells him about a program in Dubai and asks him to accompany her. Anirudh says he’ll apply for leave. Arshi, however, can’t stop herself from venting more frustrations, adding that she hopes Jhanak doesn’t show up there, because just seeing her makes her angry. She labels Jhanak as characterless and without manners.

Aditya enters Jhanak’s ward and asks if he can come in. Jhanak apologizes for wasting his time and notes that he hasn’t eaten. Aditya brushes it off, saying it’s no big deal. He mentions the bond he’s been asked to sign, and Jhanak knows this is because the surgery comes with risks. Meanwhile, Arshi continues to berate Jhanak in her conversation with Anirudh, saying she’s just like her mother, and that even after everything, his family still respects Jhanak. She vows she will never forgive them. Anirudh tries to calm her down, but she keeps pushing until he finally says, “What’s the guarantee our marriage will last forever?” leaving her stunned.

Back at the hospital, Jhanak admits to Aditya that she isn’t afraid of dying. She confesses that, if something were to happen to her, she wouldn’t feel regret because she has no baby and no one who would cry for her or miss her. Aditya, struggling with his emotions, tells her that he’s only been teasing her and that he never told her the truth. He tears up as he admits that she changed him. He had become a playboy after being hurt by many people, using women to fill the void, until Jhanak came along and showed him that love was still possible. Jhanak, surprised by his words, asks what happened to him.

Aditya, choking on his emotions, asks for her permission to sign the bond. Jhanak agrees but requests that he inform Anirudh about the surgery. Over at Anirudh’s house, Arshi is still upset, telling Anirudh that his father’s actions regarding Appu’s children may have been harsh but were ultimately for their benefit. She continues to accuse him of making bad decisions, reminding him about Kashmir and how he went there to protect Jhanak. Anirudh, already frustrated, asks her to stop embarrassing him with these constant discussions. He states firmly that his father has no right to decide anyone’s fate.

Aditya, still with Jhanak, agrees to inform Anirudh, though he comments that Anirudh insulted her. Jhanak explains that even though their marriage was never real, it meant something to her, and she couldn’t deny the truth. Despite legally breaking off the marriage, she still regards Anirudh as her husband and loves him deeply. She had rushed to tell him about the baby because she felt he had a right to know. Now, as she faces surgery, she wants him to be informed, asking Aditya to fulfill this request.

As Anirudh prepares for the next day, his phone rings. Arshi asks who it is, and he says it’s an unknown number, likely Appu. He answers, and Aditya tells him about Jhanak’s upcoming surgery. Anirudh, confused, asks what operation. Aditya explains that the situation is serious, though Jhanak had only asked him to inform Anirudh out of duty. Aditya, however, feels conflicted, reminding Anirudh of how he had insulted Jhanak. Despite everything, Jhanak felt that Anirudh should be made aware of her condition.

Aditya explains that the doctors initially thought Jhanak was pregnant, but the symptoms turned out to be related to something else entirely. Anirudh, clearly anxious, asks, “Then what?” Aditya reveals that instead of a pregnancy, there’s a large tumor in Jhanak’s stomach. Anirudh is left in shock.
