Jhanak 12th January 2025 Written Episode
The episode begins with Vihaan’s family taking Jhanak to the cowshed for a ritual. Babuji questions Ketki about the urgency to perform the ritual, but Ketki sharply reminds him not to meddle in family affairs. Jhanak confidently assures Babuji that she is not afraid and can handle the task. Babuji praises her bold attitude, saying the love shown to the cow, Lakshmi, will be returned. Ketki addresses the cow as Lakshmi and jokingly warns it not to kick Jhanak. Mehek advises Ketki to be more considerate, but Ketki silences her, saying she knows how to manage her family.
Jhanak expresses her willingness to learn, but Ketki insists Jhanak prove herself first by working, accusing her of becoming overconfident after cooking well the previous day. Ajay arrives and starts recording the event, claiming it will go viral. Jhanak objects, telling Ajay to stop filming as Ketki keeps women sheltered but now allows them to be filmed. Ketki scolds Jhanak, accusing her of being disrespectful. Jhanak stands her ground, saying she won’t work in the cowshed until the recording stops. Vihaan supports Jhanak and questions Ketki for permitting Ajay to film without consulting anyone. Ketki defends herself but faces backlash from the family. Anirudh prepares to leave, expressing guilt over leaving Arshi in her fragile state. Arshi encourages him to go, even suggesting he visit Vihaan’s house to find Jhanak. Anirudh denies any plans to meet Jhanak, but Arshi insists he go and assures him she won’t hold him back.
Prachi and Sejal support Jhanak, recalling how they were not subjected to public scrutiny during their first attempts at milking a cow. Praveen Kumar criticizes Ketki and Ajay for their actions, instructing Ajay to leave. Despite the tensions, Jhanak remains determined to learn and takes Vihaan’s phone to research how to fetch milk. She successfully milks Lakshmi, earning applause from everyone except Ketki and Sejal, who remain unimpressed. Ketki sarcastically assigns Jhanak to clean the dung, and while Vihaan objects, Jhanak accepts the task to prove herself.
Meanwhile, Arshi expresses regret to Anirudh for the pain she caused him and Jhanak, admitting she feels hopeless about her future. She urges Anirudh to stop sacrificing for her and focus on what matters to him. Moved, Anirudh promises to stay in touch and leaves. Rumi asks Mimi why she avoids social gatherings. Mimi reflects on the mistakes made by their parents and her own wrongdoings toward Jhanak. Rumi tries to console her, but Mimi remains regretful. Jhanak performs a puja for Lakshmi and does the task of milking the cow. As the family watches, Ketki bitterly orders Jhanak to clean the dung, and Jhanak agrees.
