Jagriti

Jagriti 3rd January 2025 Written Episode Update

The episode begins with celebrations kicking off in Chitta Basti. Durjan says that amidst his concerns, Chitta’s Sarkar is arriving in the basti with the Ministers. He mentions that even the Home Minister is coming with the Sarkar, and it’s a proud moment for Chitta. Kalikant arrives with the Home Minister and others. Durjan, Nanda, and Jagriti welcome them and present bouquets. Jaggu wonders why Maa hasn’t arrived yet. Just then, Gita enters. Jaggu hands her a bouquet, and Gita comments on its beauty. Jaggu proudly says he made it with his own hands. However, Sapna snatches it away and crushes it under her shoe. Gita leaves with Jaggu. Kalindi gestures to Kalikant, remarking on the organic honey mocktail. Champa offers the drink to them. Ballu signals Kalikant and walks away.

Jaggu says that Sapna had refused to accept the prize yesterday, so why is she here now? Akash agrees, saying he’s thinking the same thing. He insists that his father should not know he’s here. Jaggu suggests that Maa might have persuaded Sapna. Akash speculates that Suraj and Sapna might have planned something and asks Kachori to call Suraj and speak to him in Sapna’s voice to figure out what to do. Kachori leaves to get the phone. She climbs onto a table but falls, causing a mattress to land on her. Ballu and Champa enter the room, and Champa scolds her for thinking of burning the basti, especially when they live here with their children. Ballu insists that he has already made his decision.

Durjan asks whether they should explain their culture to the guests or start with Jaggu’s prize ceremony. Kalikant urges him to begin with showcasing their culture, suggesting that tomorrow may never come. Durjan agrees. Ballu tells everyone that Sarkar has promised to make him the owner of the basti and urges them to think about their children’s future. Champa says her conscience won’t allow her to go through with this and asks Ballu to consider the lives of people like Dadda and Nanda. Ballu scoffs, questioning why he should care about them when they never cared about him.

Jaggu showcases the art on the pots and arrow shooting, stating that no enemy can threaten their basti. Ballu argues that once the basti is burned down, a new one will be built. Champa disagrees, calling him a liar and warning that he is giving people false hope. Ballu argues that Sarkar wouldn’t lie. Champa says she can’t risk the lives of many people. Kachori overhears them. Jaggu shows the guests how they make colors from flowers. Kalindi, in a red saree, comments on how the colors resemble her saree. Kalikant is captivated by her appearance and compliments her. Kalindi teasingly asks if he wants to tell her she looks beautiful or if she should just take a guess based on his expression. Kalikant agrees that she looks very beautiful. Kalindi credits Ratna ji for the saree’s design. The Minister adds his admiration, and Kalindi smiles, acknowledging the compliment. Jagriti shows the guests how they use a catapult. Akash signals to Jaggu, asking her to come over. Jaggu asks Ratna to make Kalindi perform the Chitta folk dance. Kalindi gets excited and rushes to dance.

Jaggu approaches Akash, asking what’s wrong. Akash informs her that Kachori went to bring the phone but hasn’t returned yet. Jaggu offers to check on her, and Akash says he’ll accompany her. They decide to go another way.

Ballu urges Champa to make Kachori smell chloroform and take her to the jungle. He plans to burn the basti and take Golu with him. Champa remains reluctant, and as she falls onto the mattresses, Kachori begins shouting. They both spot her and run to stop her. Kachori says she overheard them and plans to expose them. Ballu makes her unconscious. Champa scolds him, asking what he’s done. Ballu denies any wrongdoing. Jaggu and Akash arrive just as Champa locks the door. Ballu hides with Kachori and urges Champa to lie. She tells Jaggu and Akash that Kachori is outside. Ballu insists that Champa will take Kachori to a place where she’ll wake up as a “Rajkumari.” He declares that Dadda’s rule is over, and Ballu’s reign is about to begin. Kalindi dances with the Chitta women and asks Kalikant to film the performance for her followers.

Gita receives a call from the Senior Judge, who says the team is on standby to ensure Kalikant doesn’t get a chance to act. She tells him she’s waiting for the prize distribution ceremony. He understands and ends the call. Kalikant anxiously waits for Ballu to set the basti on fire. Ballu pours kerosene oil on the houses, laughing maniacally. Champa, now carrying Kachori, prays for the safety of her children. Akash asks Jhunki if she’s seen Kachori, but the bird doesn’t respond. Akash presses it to reveal whether Kachori spoke to Jagriti. Ballu notices the Chittas cooking food on a wooden stove, its fire burning brightly. He pours kerosene oil near it and walks away.

Kachori regains consciousness, pricks Champa with her hairpin, and runs off, determined not to let the basti burn. Champa tries to stop her. Ballu returns to Kalikant and signals him. Kalikant is still recording the video. Ballu dances and pours kerosene oil onto the ground from a pipe connected to the bottle hidden in his pocket.
