Jagriti 25th October 2024 Written Episode Update
The episode opens with Ganga burning the slate, her heart heavy with sorrow as she cries. Jaggu shouts in dismay. Akash hugs Ganga tightly. Kalikant tells Jamuna that the Chitta community will compensate for the lost food and insists she should prepare all the food. Jamuna agrees. Amol urges Kalikant to throw her out; otherwise, he’ll have to take BP medicine. Kalikant complains that both mother and daughter are causing him trouble. Amol inquires what he means. Kalikant explains that his wife has made their son soft-hearted towards the Chittas, showing them sympathy. Amol counters that while they can’t confront outsiders, they shouldn’t fight within the family. Kalikant declares that no one can argue with him in his house. Amol reminds him that the Chittas belong in jail and asks Kalikant to assign him work. Kalikant responds that he will find him work, telling him to leave everything to him.
Jagriti is in the servants’ kitchen cooking. Akash enters and tries to strike up a conversation, but she refuses to engage. Akash asks what he did wrong. Jaggu chimes in, mentioning that he said she could study in the haveli. Akash explains that their father gets very angry and reassures her that he will teach her everything he learns in school, but it will have to be done secretly. Ganga enters, calling for Akash. Jaggu apologizes to Ganga, expressing her realization that the haveli is like a golden trap, which has also confined Ganga. Ganga feels restless upon hearing this and explains that some birds turn a cage into their home to protect their young from danger until they are old enough. She says Jaggu will understand when she grows up. Akash listens intently. Ganga advises Akash to stop meeting Jagriti and warns him about the consequences if their father finds out. Akash insists that he has promised Jaggu he will teach her. Ganga replies that if their father discovers this, there will be trouble. Akash vows to teach her in secret so that nobody finds out. Jagriti remembers Gita’s words about how anything done in secret is a crime. Ganga finally agrees. Akash hugs Ganga, calling her the best mother.
Jagriti tells Ganga she won’t study secretly, asserting that Ganga is still supporting her. Ganga apologizes, admitting that she couldn’t explain things properly, which is why Sarkar got angry; she reassures Jagriti that it’s not her fault. Jagriti claims it was her mistake and expresses her desire to study openly so she can erase the criminal label from her life. She argues that if she learns in secret, how can she truly remove that tag? Ganga smiles, proud of her daughter. Jaggu mentions that she needs to prepare food; otherwise, Jamuna Kaki will be scolded by Sarkar, and she doesn’t want anyone to face his wrath. Akash protests, but Jaggu insists on starting the cooking. Ganga then takes Akash away from the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Durjan and other men are dancing while Bindi sits with Nanda. Ratna feels uneasy watching the scene. Jaggu arrives home, reflecting on Kachori and Sarkar’s words, thinking she should keep everything to herself. Harish asks her where she had been. Jaggu responds that there was a lot of work in the haveli. Bindi kisses her forehead affectionately. Mangla tells her to get ready. Jaggu heads off to change and reappears dressed in her new clothes.
