Jagriti

Jagriti 21st November 2024 Written Episode Update

The episode begins with Kachori asking Jaggu to eat well. She warns that she will not receive food or water for two days. Jaggu recalls the events, Sujata’s advice to hide the truth from Gita, and Sadhu Baba’s words about trusting her karma, as God is watching. Harish asks if something happened, pointing out that she has been silent since returning from Gita’s house. Madan Chaddha seeks Chhathi Maiyya’s blessings and receives Prasad from Gita. He praises Kalikant for inviting him to see the Chhath fast. Kalikant replies that Maiyya wanted to bless him. Jaggu says nothing in response. Bindi asks if someone said something to her at Gita’s house. Jaggu denies it and finishes her food, washing her hands afterward. Harish thinks that Jaggu has never been this quiet before. Suraj and Akash argue about what to bring to the ghaat. Gayatri gives something to Ganga, saying it’s for Kalikant’s Minister post, which Ganga happily accepts. Kalikant smiles and rests his head on Gayatri’s shoulder. Ganga arranges the fruit basket and applies tilak to it.

Kachori and Jaggu make all the necessary arrangements. Harish takes the basket on his head and asks Durjan if he will not join them at the ghaat. Durjan asks Nanda for a good kurta. Nanda gives him a kurta, and he says anyone can come, as everyone should be blessed by Chhathi Maiyya.

Kalikant arrives at the ghaat with Madan Chaddha. He calls for Akash and Suraj to take a photo with Madan Chaddha. Media asks Madan how he feels attending the Chhath puja. Madan tells them that it is a good fortune to be here for Chhath, and he came not just for religious reasons but to address societal issues. Kalikant overhears a man criticizing the Chittas for being there to perform the puja. He approaches Durjan and the others. The man asks Kalikant if they will do the puja alongside them. Kalikant asks Durjan why they have come. Durjan explains that Jaggu is fasting. Madan Chaddha asks what’s going on. Kalikant explains that it’s a dispute over space, but he’ll handle it, telling Madan to go and sit down. Akash refers to Madan as “Minister uncle” and thinks to himself that if he stays quiet now, Jaggu will not be able to complete the puja. He speaks up, saying that the argument is to prevent the Chittas from doing the puja. Madan asks why. Gayatri explains that each society has its own rules. Madan Chaddha challenges this, saying that the puja should unite people for the progress of society, not create division. Gayatri protests, but Kalikant interrupts, telling her that everyone will do the puja together. He tells her to go help Ganga, as there must be no mistakes; otherwise, his dream of becoming a Minister will remain just that—a dream. Gayatri goes away. Kalikant assures the Chittas that they will all perform the puja together. Durjan tells Nanda that Chhathi Maiyya quiets everyone. Kalikant then reassures Gayatri that after Madan Chaddha leaves, he’ll have the Chittas clean the ghaat.

Jaggu arrives at the ghaat. Harish carries the basket, and Nanda applies a long tilak to Jaggu, followed by a tilak to Harish. Jaggu steps into the water. Ganga smiles when she sees Jaggu, and Akash is pleased that Jaggu is keeping the fast. Akash helps Jaggu, pouring water for her puja. Kalikant appears upset. Later, Madan thanks Kalikant for inviting him to the puja. Kalikant tells him the puja is not over yet and mentions they still have the morning ritual. Madan agrees to come back in the morning, as he is already there. He then says it’s time to leave. Akash tells Jaggu to come out of the water and says it’s time to go home. Harish insists she should come out, but Jaggu shakes her head, saying she won’t leave until she completes the ritual for whom she has kept the fast. Nanda says, “Forgive me, Chhathi Maiyya,” and adds that Jaggu has lost her mind. Meanwhile, Gita regains consciousness and remembers the blast. She cries out for Jaggu. Sujata, Solanki, Sapna, Amol, and the nurse come to her side. Gita asks about Jaggu and who brought her to the hospital. Sapna reassures her that she is her only daughter. Gita asks again about Jaggu. Amol says everything is fine in Criminal Basti. Solanki tells her to rest. Gita wonders why no one is telling her about Jaggu. Harish continues asking Jaggu to come out of the water, saying she still has to complete the ritual in the morning. He worries she’ll become ill. Jaggu refuses to come out. Nanda tells Durjan and others to come with her, saying Jaggu’s father will be there with her.
