Jagriti 20th January 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Jagriti contemplating her dilemma: for Harish to be released from jail, Ballu must take his place, but Ballu’s imprisonment would destroy her relationship with Kachori.
Geeta advises Ballu to become a government witness and confess his crime in court, urging him to think about his daughter, Kachori, before making any decision. Jagriti confronts Geeta, asking if there is a way to achieve justice without punishing Ballu. Geeta challenges her to consider how that could work, reminding her that the decision now lies with Ballu.
Meanwhile, Suraj questions Sapna about her intention to attend court, warning that she will only face humiliation. Sapna insists she wants to see how Geeta plans to free Harish. Kalindi steps in, reassuring Sapna that she will accompany her to court. When Gayatri asks about Kalindi’s Vrath, Kalindi assures her she will fulfill it and urges her not to worry.
At the court, Harish arrives, and Jagriti hugs him. As the judge takes his seat, Geeta directs Jagriti to sit in the stands. Sapna and Kalindi also take their seats.
Geeta begins her argument by calling Ballu to testify. Ballu admits to the judge that he went to the farmhouse intending to kill Amol and found him fighting with Harish. He took advantage of the situation and shot Amol. Ballu’s confession leaves Jhumpa in tears.
Continuing her argument, Geeta asserts that while Ballu pulled the trigger, someone else must have masterminded the crime. Despite objections from the public prosecutor, Geeta convinces the judge to allow her to present further evidence.
Geeta questions Ballu, asking which hand he used to shoot Amol. Ballu says it was his left hand. To challenge his claim, Geeta throws a file at him, which he instinctively catches with his right hand. She asks why he didn’t use his dominant hand to fire the gun, to which Ballu explains he was holding evidence. When pressed about what evidence he was holding, Ballu suddenly becomes speechless, having ingested Bangha Sindhur powder.
It is revealed that a police officer gave Ballu the powder, threatening his children’s lives if he testified against Kalikant. Kalindi reinforces the threat by signaling Ballu with a throat-slitting gesture in court.
The judge orders an investigation into how Ballu obtained the Bangha Sindhur powder. He also decides that evidence related to Geeta’s questions will be reviewed at the next hearing. Based on Ballu’s testimony, the judge declares Harish innocent and sentences Ballu to 20 years in prison. This verdict leaves Kachori and Jhumpa heartbroken.
Harish expresses gratitude to Geeta, acknowledging that her efforts freed him. Sapna makes a comment about Geeta before leaving.
Kachori, devastated, blames Geeta and Jagriti for Ballu’s sentence and ends her friendship with Jagriti. Jagriti tries to console her, but Kachori remains inconsolable.
Later, Harish comforts a dejected Jagriti, who asks about Geeta. Harish reveals that Geeta has lost her daughter, Sapna, because of the day’s events. Determined to protect Geeta, Jagriti vows not to let Sapna hurt her again.
