Jagriti

Jagriti 1st January 2025 Written Episode Update

The episode begins with Gita explaining that the participants have been given the right to choose their topics, and since there are no objections, there’s no reason for Jaggu to change hers. The fellow judges agree with her. Jaggu asserts that she is a Chitta and is proud of it. Champa asks Ballu if he can see the Kachori. Ballu responds that he is watching Harish, wondering what he is carrying in his hand. Kachori tells Harish to keep the item safe and to let her know if he needs help with it when he goes out. Champa scolds Kachori and drags her away. Ballu asks Harish what he is hiding and urges Durjan to question Harish about what he’s brought. He claims his position as the heir of the basti gives him the right to inquire. Harish tells him to go and get his rights from Dadda first. They begin to argue. Durjan steps in, reminding them to make arrangements for Chitta’s Annual function. Harish comments that society considers them insects. Jagriti responds by declaring that Chittas are the true protectors of the country, and though they were once regarded as insects, they were never greedy or authoritative over the land, jungle, or animals. She reminds them that the Chittas fought the British for independence and have always been proud of their heritage, even when treated as slaves. She proudly affirms that she is Chitta and will always be proud of it. Akash claps first, followed by the others. Kalikant claps reluctantly, with visible anger. Kachori approaches Harish and gives him a blue cover, which she found when he was fighting with Ballu. Harish thanks her.

The anchor announces that 10 students have been selected for scholarships, and their names will be revealed after the winner is announced. He announces Sapna Rajvanshi as the winner. Jaggu is happy and claps. Kalikant also shows his satisfaction. Kalindi agrees with the decision.

The anchor then tells them to wait, revealing that there is another winner. He announces Jagriti Chitta as the second winner. The crowd applauds for Jaggu. Sapna, however, looks furious. Kalikant is visibly upset as well. Gita smiles and applauds for Jaggu. The anchor informs them that the prize must be shared between the two winners. Jaggu starts to approach the stage, but Sapna refuses to share her prize with a Chitta. Gita reassures them that both are equally deserving. Sapna insists that she cannot stand beside someone like Jagriti and storms off the stage. Gita calls Jeetu to escort Sapna home. Kalindi mocks Gita, commenting that the judge’s daughter refused to share the prize with a Chitta. Gita replies that her daughter learns from society and acknowledges the responsibility they hold on the stage today. She explains that this is a golden opportunity to set an example, and suggests that the award should be presented to Jagriti by Sarkar, whom Chittas revere as their Annadatta. Inspector Singh privately agrees that Sarkar will decide. Kalikant rises to object, but the Minister supports Gita’s suggestion, pointing out that connecting with the community could lead to prosperity. Kalikant reluctantly agrees. He turns to see Ballu, who gives him a signal before walking away. Kalikant follows him. Kalindi comments that Kalikant will attend the basti and present the prize to Jagriti, and the crowd applauds.

Ballu tells Kalikant that Harish was holding a blue cover when he left the competition to go to the basti. Kalindi joins them, and Kalikant reveals that Harish might have some proof, prompting him to instruct Ballu to get it. He tells Kalindi that this plan to get him to the basti could be part of Jaggu’s strategy to expose him. Kalindi is shocked, but Kalikant insists he will not be caught but will turn the tables on others. He confidently states that he is the tiger of tigers, the lion. Some people and media take photos of Jaggu. Gita expresses her happiness, praising Jaggu for her essay and noting how her words were both truthful and profound. She calls Jaggu the shining star of Mokshgarh. Jaggu hugs her, thanking her for helping her understand the glory and history of Chitta, and acknowledging that her words have inspired her to believe in the possibility of changing her destiny. A couple criticizes Gita for corrupting society, but Gita remains calm, inviting them to visit the Chitta basti to understand the difference between mere entertainment and real suffering. She tells Jaggu to ignore such comments. Jaggu asks why Gita suggested calling Sarkar to the basti to give her the prize, and Gita assures her that the reason will become clear soon.
