Jagriti 18th January 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode starts with Jaggu asking Kachori what she is doing, and says this is her last chance to save her Baba. Kachori replies that it is also her last chance to save her Baba. Golu urges Kachori to take the gun and run. Kachori races to get the gun. Jaggu also tries to grab it, and Kachori trips and falls. Jaggu quickly attends to Kachori’s injury and expresses concern. Golu insists that they need to get the gun. Akash strikes Golu on the head with a catapult, telling him how dare he make Jaggu fall. Golu and his friends flee. Jaggu assures Kachori that she is her friend, and would never hurt her. Kachori retorts that Jaggu is hurting her family. Jaggu counters, saying she’s only doing what’s right. She recalls how when Maa delivered her verdict against Baba, she explained that justice must be served fairly, and that Kachori knows who is right and who is wrong. Jaggu grabs the gun and runs.
Gita tells the constables to wait a little longer. The constable informs her they must take Harish back to jail before 5 pm. Harish asks Gita to tell Jaggu that he has to bear someone else’s punishment in his destiny, and that her Baba loves her deeply. Gita, troubled, says no… She pleads with Ram ji, questioning why she is failing. Jaggu arrives and asks Gita to take the gun. Gita checks the time and says there are just 3 minutes left. She says that Jaggu has done what she promised. Gita then walks into the court.
Singh takes Ballu somewhere, telling him to stay there or else Sarkar will be implicated in the case. Akash comes home and calls out for Ganga. Kalindi asks where he has been. Akash replies that he was playing. Kalindi asks about Jaggu. Akash says she can’t come today because of an injury, and Gita aunty is taking her to her house. Sapna, fuming, watches them. Kalindi sees Sapna and thinks to herself that she has made another mistake.
Gita applies ointment to Jaggu’s injuries. Jaggu spots a rabbit toy and hesitates to touch it. Gita tells her it’s hers, a gift from Papa when she was a child. Gita hands the toy to Jaggu. Sapna tells Suraj she wants to go to her house. Suraj asks who will drop her. Kalindi offers to take her. Gita feeds Jaggu, who praises it as the best food she’s ever had. Jaggu asks if they’ll all live together when Baba returns from jail. Gita reassures her that they will. Sapna, overhearing, claps mockingly. She says she felt like Gita was her mother, but now sees she’s just here for her “Chitta daughter.” Gita urges her to listen. Sapna grabs the rabbit toy and cuts it with scissors. Gita cries, saying it was her childhood toy that Sapna ruined. Sapna lashes out, claiming Jaggu is ruining her childhood too, and accuses her father of having killed her own. Jaggu, upset, says she will leave. Gita insists she stay and at least have some sweet roti. Jaggu, used to hunger, says she will leave. Gita weeps.
Akash massages Ganga’s head, asking if she knows that Papa is a criminal. Ganga becomes upset and asks why he is competing with Kalindi to bring Papa back. She explains that they need to protect him from attacks by outsiders. Kalindi apologizes to Gita, saying she feels guilty for bringing Sapna here. She offers to leave. Sapna announces she’ll go with her. Gita questions where she’ll go since it’s her house. Sapna responds that it’s the house of Gita’s “Chitta daughter” now that her father is gone. She storms out. Kalindi tells Gita she’ll manage Sapna, and leaves.
Jaggu reaches the basti, where Jhumpa and Durjan confront her, asking where Ballu is. Jaggu says she doesn’t know. Kachori suggests that Gita aunty might know. Jhumpa takes Jaggu to Gita’s house. Kalikant tells Singh to kill Ballu. Jhumpa demands to know from Gita where Ballu is, accusing her of keeping him captive. Gita insists she has no reason to kidnap him, explaining that Harish will only be freed when Ballu gives his statement. She assures Kachori that she will bring Ballu back safely. Kachori tells Jhumpa that Gita aunty will do what’s needed. Jaggu says she’ll leave since this house belongs to Sapna now. Gita tells her to wait, explaining she is sure Kalikant Thakur is behind Ballu’s abduction. She gives Jaggu a spy cam.
