Jaggu stirs the vegetable. Golu comments that Jaggu should eat food and make her fast impure. Kachori asks how much longer she will keep cooking. Jaggu responds that she will eat after three days, so she is making the food with care. Golu says Chhati Maiyya will surely bless her for this.
Amol gets irritated as Sapna doesn’t leave Gita alone. He tells her to go to sleep, but she refuses. Amol tells her to give him the lamb, or else it will trouble Gita. Sapna hands over the lamb to him and goes to sit beside Gita.
Bindi catches Golu and his friend spying on Jaggu and asks what they’re doing. Golu denies it. Bindi warns him not to interfere with Jaggu’s fast, or she will tell Dadda. She thinks she can’t directly help Jaggu, but she won’t hinder her puja for her happiness. Whether Jaggu sees her as a mother or not, she considers herself as one. Jaggu prays to God to give her the strength to keep her fast for her mother.

He then tells Sapna that he needs to go to work urgently and asks her to take care of herself and Gita. Sapna agrees. Harish turns and notices the Constable standing behind him. The Constable tells him to call someone else as well, without wasting any more time. Harish recalls a flashback where the Constable heard him promise that he wouldn’t let anything happen to Gita. The Constable says he’ll help, explaining that Magistrate Madam wants justice for everyone, and if he sees any injustice towards her, he will be a sinner. He says he will guide Harish, and Harish must follow his lead. The flashback ends, and Harish makes another call.

She tells a flashback story where Golu and his friend are about to eat when a frog jumps onto their food, causing it to fall. One of the boys comments that it’s Chhati Maiyya’s wrath for wronging Jaggu. Kachori says she ran to Jaggu to stop her from eating impure food, as she heard the frog story. Jaggu thanks Chhati Maiyya for saving her from eating contaminated food. She says she will keep her fast no matter what. Ballu arrives and breaks the pots, claiming he couldn’t eat due to the frog. Bindi says this is happening because of Golu. Ballu says he won’t allow Jaggu to keep her fast. Durjan arrives and says he has complaints with Jaggu, but since she’s fasting, he doesn’t want anyone interfering, as he doesn’t want the Goddess to be upset with them.
Kalikant brings Ganga and Akash back home. Gayatri teases him, asking if he couldn’t stay away from Ganga for even one day. Kalikant explains that he had to bring her back because of politics. He wanted to stay in Delhi, but the party president came for an inspection and wanted to see the Chhat puja, so he had to call them back overnight. Gayatri comments that Ganga doesn’t dare to go out, but Akash can, and she wonders if he will cause trouble again. Kalikant says he’ll keep an eye on him.
Kachori asks Jaggu what she will eat now. Jaggu replies that she can’t eat for three days. Kachori says it will be tough and tells her that she can’t think of anything right now. Jaggu’s mother scolds Kachori and asks her not to support Jaggu. Kachori shouts Jaggu’s name, and her mother takes her away. Jaggu says she will keep her fast, and Chhati Maiyya will help her.
Kalikant tells Gayatri that once the party is pleased with him, everything will be his. He adds that when his daughter-in-law keeps the fast, he will get publicity, and then he’ll ask for a Minister’s seat. Gayatri says Amol couldn’t do anything, but once Kalikant becomes a minister, the law will be in his hands. Jaggu looks at the few drops of water left in the broken pot, wondering what to make with it. She thinks she hasn’t thought about her father and wonders if Amol has caught him. She runs and bumps into the Constable, telling him that she had left Baba in the hospital when they took her there. She’s about to call her mother but stops herself. The Constable tells her to keep the fast and assures her that her father is making sure that Judge Madam is safe.

Akash approaches Ganga and informs her that Gayatri told Kalikant about Jaggu’s fast. Kalikant grows worried, and Gayatri says they can’t stop anyone from fasting, but since Jaggu is only 8 years old, she might make a mistake. The flashback ends. Akash tells Ganga they must help Jaggu. Ganga feels sorry for her. Kachori arrives at Jaggu’s place and offers her water, saying that hunger and thirst can break anyone’s determination.
