The episode begins with Mahua asking where Adrija is. Meghla says she doesn’t know. Mahua worries about Adrija and scolds Ranbir. He reassures her, saying, “Don’t worry, I’m sure she’s fine.” She replies, “Fine, but we want to know, why did you take Meghla aside for a talk? What’s the matter?” Kaki asks who will be responsible if something happens to Adrija. Meghla and Mahua cry. Chandan urges Ranbir to explain. Ranbir says, “I wanted to speak in private as there are guests around, but fine, I’ll say it here. I can’t marry Adrija.” Everyone is shocked.
Adrija arrives and listens in. Mahua exclaims, “What kind of joke is this?” He replies, “I can’t marry a liar and fraud like her. I didn’t want to disrespect her here, but this is the truth—I can’t marry her.” Adrija is stunned. Chandan asks, “What do you mean?” Adrija says, “Ranbir…” Mahua shouts, “Enough! You won’t say anything.” She turns to Ranbir, asking, “What lie did she tell you? Why involve Meghla if you don’t want to marry Adrija?” Ranbir says, “I have my reasons.” Mahua yells, “What reason?” Chandan tells her to calm down. She demands an explanation. Adrija says, “This is happening because of Meghla.” Ranbir tells her to stop. Adrija says, “I’m talking to my sister.” Meghla says, “But I…” Adrija slaps her. Ranbir says, “You have no right to raise your hand on Meghla.” Adrija replies, “I will handle this.” She scolds Meghla.
Ranbir says, “I could tell everyone the whole truth, but I care about your family’s respect. If you behave like this, I’ll have no choice but to reveal everything.” Mahua urges him to speak. Ranbir says, “Marriage isn’t a game, so I’ve come here to break the engagement with Adrija.” Kaki asks, “What changed your decision? Did Meghla do something? Don’t trust her.” Chandan says, “Don’t say anything against Meghla.” Kaki retorts, “But Ranbir is saying something about Adrija.” Mahua insists, “Tell me the reason.” He says, “Let’s ask Adrija why she lied about Meghla’s marriage being fixed.” The women gossip. Adrija says, “Just because I said something doesn’t mean you’ll break the marriage.” Ranbir asks, “Why? You told me so many stories about Meghla and her boyfriend.” Chandan asks, “What? I never thought you would stoop this low to defame Meghla. You made up lies and turned Mahua against her.” Ranbir says, “Adrija told me that Ankush came home that day.” Mahua says, “I don’t know the truth, but why did Adrija lie? Don’t break the marriage.” Ranbir asks, “What do you want from me? Am I supposed to marry a liar like her? She lied about her sister. She told me Meghla dreams of going to the US.” Chandan scolds Adrija, saying, “Meghla’s marriage isn’t fixed.” Ranbir says, “I misunderstood Meghla. My family wanted me to marry, so I agreed. But after meeting Meghla again, I wanted to explain things to her. Meghla will decide now if she wants to marry me or not.” Adrija says, “She wanted this.” He tells her, “Shut up.”
He defends Meghla. Mahua pleads, “Don’t break the marriage.” She explains Adrija’s actions, saying, “Forgive her just this once.” He replies, “Please don’t cry. I can’t forgive her. I can’t punish Meghla for something she didn’t do.” Mahua says, “Please, forgive her. I promise she won’t do this again.” He says, “No, I’m ready to marry Meghla. I can’t be happy with Adrija. It will only bring sorrow and problems. Please understand, I’m sorry. I want Adrija to have all the happiness in the world, but I can’t marry her. Sorry.” Mahua hugs Adrija and comforts her. Ranbir says, “I’ll leave now, sorry.” He looks at Meghla.
