Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein 31st August 2024 Written Update
The episode begins with the Thakkars arriving at the venue for Savi’s school award function. Bhagyashree, noticing the large venue, comments that she expected it to be a smaller event. She mentions how she has attended numerous award functions with Rajat, where he would win both awards and prizes, and wonders if Savi will also receive money along with her award. Harini responds with the teachings of Isha and Shantanu, which annoys Bhagyashree, who then makes a snide remark about Isha. Harini starts to get angry, but Savi calms her down. Rajendra intervenes, asking Bhagyashree to be quiet, and reminds everyone how fortunate they are to have Savi as their daughter-in-law, who is receiving an award in the field of education. They enter the building, where the school principal welcomes Savi and inquires about her parents. Savi explains that they couldn’t attend due to work, but her in-laws are present. When the principal asks about her husband, Savi replies that he is busy as well. Rajendra assures everyone that Rajat will surely attend his wife’s award function. Meanwhile, Rajat is busy at the office when Aman asks if he is still working. Rajat, in a foul mood, rudely asks what else he should be doing. Aman thinks to himself that Rajat is still angry.
The Thakkars take their seats in the front row of the auditorium. Soon after, Ashika and Arsh enter, which irritates Bhagyashree, who questions Savi about their presence. Savi calmly explains that the school management likely invited them as parents. Bhagyashree grumbles that Savi should have informed the management that she is Sai’s mother, not Ashika. Tara advises Bhagyashree to ignore Ashika and Arsh. The host then welcomes the guests and introduces the chief guest, Mr. Waghmare, to the stage. Rajat arrives at the venue, mistakenly believing it to be a business expo. After asking around, he realizes it’s a school award function. Just as he is about to leave, Rajendra spots him and convinces him to stay and attend the function. Rajat suspects Aman tricked him. He reluctantly joins his family. From the back row, Arsh taunts Rajat, saying he arrived late as usual and is only there to watch Sai’s performance, who Arsh claims is his daughter, not Rajat’s. Upset, Rajat begins drinking.
Bhagyashree, feeling bored, complains to Tara about the event and suggests they sleep through it. Tara warns that it would be humiliating since they are sitting in the front row. The host then calls Savi on stage to receive the Best Teacher’s Award. Excited, Bhagyashree video calls her friend to show her Savi receiving the award. Sai nudges Rajat to clap as Pari Mamma has won the award, but Rajat remains silent. The host invites Savi to say a few words. Savi thanks the education board for the honor and credits her students, who inspired her to develop new and unique teaching methods. The audience applauds, but Rajat continues to drink, much to Savi’s disappointment. After her speech, Savi returns to her seat and hands the award to Bhagyashree, who proudly shows it off to the family and praises Savi.
Next, the host announces a student performance. The children dance to the song “Ek Jindadi Meri Sau Khwaihsath,” earning applause from the audience. The host then introduces Sai’s performance, which is dedicated to Savi. The audience claps again, and Rajat reluctantly joins in but soon stops, recalling Arsh’s taunts. Sai begins singing “Ladki Ki, Kathi Kathi Pe Ghoda,” but forgets the lyrics halfway through. Savi tries to help her, and Arsh steps in to sing along, which further upsets Rajat. The host praises their duet performance. Arsh subtly manipulates Sai by complimenting her singing but questioning how she acquired this talent since her parents aren’t known for singing. He suggests that talent often comes from parents and advises Sai to ask her father, Rajat, about it.
Sai, eager for answers, approaches Rajat and asks how her performance was. A guest nearby compliments her singing. Sai then asks Rajat how she could sing so well when neither he nor Ashika are good singers. Rajat, surprised, asks who told her that. Sai explains that Arsh said this and encouraged her to question him. Frustrated, Rajat abruptly leaves. Arsh stops him near the door, taunting him and offering a handkerchief, while sarcastically suggesting that Rajat explain to Savi how she could have such a talent when her parents lack it. Arsh further provokes Rajat by comparing the situation to a nightingale leaving her eggs in a crow’s nest, with the crow mistakenly believing the baby is hers. He hints that Sai may look like Ashika, but her eyes and voice resemble Arsh’s, implying that Sai is Arsh’s daughter. Arsh claims he didn’t want to reveal this secret, fearing Ashika would win custody of Sai, but Rajat tricked him and won custody instead. He pretends to plead with Rajat to return his daughter, accusing Rajat of being indifferent to Sai. Rajat stands in shock, processing the situation.
